Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Associations, non-profit entities and individuals caring for colonies legally registered with the Gijón/Xixón City Council that, meeting the requirements and purpose of this call, promote the care and care of abandoned animals and have the Gijón/Xixón Council as their scope of action. Second. Purpose: Granting, on a competitive basis, financial aid for expenses incurred since January 1, 2024 and only until the date of application submission, consisting of the sterilization of cats belonging to legally registered feline colonies. It is also intended to promote the business fabric of the municipality, which is why it is required that veterinary expenses be made in veterinary clinics in the municipality of Gijón/Xixón. Programs or activities of interest are considered, for the purposes of this call: sterilizations of animals from feline colonies legally registered with the Gijón/Xixón City Council. Third. Regulatory bases and call: Bases: General Subsidies Ordinance of the Gijón/Xixón City Council, (Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias of February 28, 2023) Call: Government Board Agreement of June 18, 2024. Fourth. Amount: 8,000 euros (eight thousand euros) Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will be 2 months, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of this Call in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias. If the last day of the period is one of those designated as a non-business day, it will be deemed extended to the first following business day. The start and end dates for submitting applications will be communicated on the municipal website in the section on subsidies for feline colonies. Outside this period, no application will be accepted even if it actually corresponds to expenses incurred prior to the opening of the application submission period.
