Official description of the call
First. - Call 10 scholarships are called on a competitive basis that are intended to facilitate the continuation of university studies of those students of the University of Cádiz with high academic performance in the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years who have received fixed aid linked to income from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training in the General University Scholarship calls in the 2022/2023 and 2023 academic years. 2023/2024. Second. - Application The grant application period will be between October 1 and October 31, 2024, both included. The request will be made through the corresponding section of the C.A.U., with direct access to it enabled on the website http://atencionalumnado.uca.es/becas-uca/. Third. - Beneficiaries Students who are pursuing Degree studies at the University of Cádiz and who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this aid: a) Be enrolled at the UCA for a minimum of 60 credits in the 2024/2025 academic year in official Degree studies. In the event that the student has a number of credits less than 60 credits left to complete his studies, he must be enrolled in all of them. b) Having been a beneficiary of fixed aid linked to income in the general scholarship calls called by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training for the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years. c) Achieve an average grade of at least 7.00 points in the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years. Once the September call for the 2023/2024 academic year has been resolved, the UCA Scholarship Office will verify compliance with the requirements related to the studies completed, the receipt of fixed-amount aid linked to income from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training and the average grade obtained in the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 courses, with the information contained in the University's own databases. Room. - Assessment criteria. To calculate the average grade, the following criteria will be taken into account: - The average grade will be obtained including the failed credits. - Average grade obtained in the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years. - In the event of a change of university studies, the average grade obtained in the abandoned studies will be considered. To calculate the income per member of the family unit, the total family income available in the year 2023 will be divided, according to the data included in the evaluation of the MEFP 2024-2025 Scholarship application, by the number of members that make up the family unit. In those cases in which, after applying the corresponding deductions, the family income obtained is negative, this will be understood as an income with an amount of zero euros. Fifth. – Prioritization of candidates Once the list of students who meet the general requirements established in the rules of the call has been obtained, they will be classified by branches of knowledge to which the degree they are studying belongs and the aid will be awarded to the student in each branch of knowledge whose income is lower according to the calculation rule established in the previous article. In the event of a tie in the amount of income, priority will be given to the student who had a higher score in the average grade obtained in the 2023/2024 academic year. If the tie persists, the highest score in the average grade obtained in the 2022/2023 academic year will be taken second. Sixth. - Amount of aid The amount of the Extraordinary Aid to the Isabel Miranda Sierra study is 1,000 euros. Seventh. – Incompatibilities and reimbursement The aid regulated in this call is compatible with the aid contained in the General Call for Scholarships and Study Aid of the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP), with the equivalent scholarship from the Department of Education of any Autonomous Community, as well as with any other type of scholarship or aid offered by the University of Cádiz. However, the granting of these aids will be incompatible with the receipt of the same in previous calls or with the receipt of the aid received through the calls for Santander Study Financial Assistance Grants and Santander Estudios Equality Grants. Reimbursement of the aid received will be requested when the data required to obtain it falsified the required conditions.
