Decree of August 21, 2024 of the Mayor of the Badajoz City Council, by which the XXV Outdoor Painting Contest City of Badajoz 2024 is convened

Official description of the call

First. Object. The purpose of this call is to promote artistic creation, contribute to the dynamism of the cultural sector and recognize the work carried out by authors with the purpose of promoting, preserving, promoting and praising culture. The award of the prize will be carried out on a competitive basis in accordance with the principles of publicity, transparency, objectivity, equality, non-discrimination, effectiveness and efficiency established in article 8.3 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Second. Recipients. This call is aimed at authors of any nationality or residence, over 18 years of age. And people who meet any of the circumstances provided for in article 13.2 of General Law 38/2003 on Subsidies will not be able to obtain the status of beneficiary. Likewise, people who are debtors to the Badajoz City Council or its dependent entities for concepts other than taxes will not be able to obtain this condition. Third. Regulatory Bases. General Ordinance of Subsidies of the Hon. Badajoz City Council, published in the BOP, number 21 dated February 2, 2009. Fourth. Awards. The following prizes are established: 1st Prize Badajoz City Council €2,100 2nd Prize Badajoz City Council €1,800 3rd Prize Cajalmendralejo – artist from Extremadura €1,200 4th Prize Badajoz City Council €750 5th Prize Cajalmendralejo €600 5 Second Prize Badajoz City Council €150 each. Participants born or residing in Extremadura will be eligible for the Cajalmendralejo – Extremaduran artist Award as long as the work has not won one of the previous awards in this call. The amount of the prizes will be subject to current tax legislation, with legally established withholdings being made on such amount. All taxes levied on the receipt of the prizes will be the responsibility of the winners. Fifth. Celebration date. The contest will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in the Plaza Alta, weather conditions permitting. The Hon. Badajoz City Council reserves the right to suspend the painting contest, provided that there are major causes that are duly justified and unrelated to its organization. Sixth. Deadline and form of registration. The registration period will remain open from the day following the publication of the Extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz, until 12 noon. on the same day of the contest, September 21, 2024. Each participant will formalize a registration form (ANNEX I) duly completed and signed, which contains a Responsible Declaration stating that the participants meet the requirements to obtain beneficiary status. The standardized model that appears in this call as Annex I is available on the website of the Excmo. Badajoz City Council (www.aytobadajoz.es). The registration form (ANNEX I) may be submitted within the indicated period: At the Department of Culture of the Badajoz City Council, C/ Soto Mancera Nº 8, from Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. By email: Pintura-airelibre@aytobadajoz.es. On the day of the call in the Old Town Hall Houses in the Plaza Alta from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the time of sealing the support, presenting the DNI or any other supporting document.
