Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries. University graduates who meet the requirements of the call may be beneficiaries of this contract, under the direction or co-direction of thesis who have the status of Principal Investigator of the reference research projects indicated below, in which each predoctoral contract will be framed. If any of the indicated projects are not in the resolution of definitive granting of aid to “Knowledge Generation Projects” and actions for the training of predoctoral research personnel associated with said projects, the granting of a predoctoral contract associated with the project in question will not be possible. To be admitted to this call it will be necessary to meet the requirements listed below. 1. Be enrolled or admitted in a doctoral program at the University of La Rioja for the 2024-2025 academic year, at the time of submission of the application. Those people who, at the time of submission of the application, are not enrolled or admitted to a doctoral program at the University of La Rioja, are able to do so on the date on which the contract is formalized. If at the date of signing the contract the candidate is not enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of La Rioja, the contract cannot be formalized. If this circumstance occurs, you must expressly indicate it in your request. 2. Have obtained a bachelor's degree, engineer, architect, university graduate or university master's degree, or the training period of the doctoral program in accordance with annexes I to VI. In the case of applicants with studies completed abroad, having obtained the homologation credential or the certificate of equivalence to a degree and official university academic level or, where appropriate, having initiated the corresponding procedure. 3. Nationality. There are no specific requirements regarding nationality or residence of applicants for participation in the procedure. However, the hiring of non-EU foreign researchers will be conditional on obtaining the corresponding residence authorization that authorizes them to reside and work in Spain in accordance with current regulations. 4. Average grade of the academic record: a) The applicant must have, in the academic record for which he/she submits the application: bachelor's degree, university graduate or in the record through which he/she accessed the university master's degree, or training period of the Doctoral Program, with an average grade equal to or greater than 6.5 points based on 10. b) For these purposes, in 1st and 2nd cycle degrees, if requested and documented by the candidate, the correspondence between official university degrees will be applied. (pre-Bologna) and MECES levels (Spanish Framework of Qualifications for Higher Education) Degree and Master. In this case, the average grade of the academic record will be taken as that of the 1st cycle or equivalent. c) For those candidates who do not request and document the correspondence, all subjects corresponding to both cycles or equivalents will be taken to calculate the average grade. 5. For non-EU foreign applicants, before signing the predoctoral contract, they must be in possession of the required work permit for the duration of the contract. 6. Those who meet any of the following circumstances may not be applicants or access the incentivized contract: a) Have begun their predoctoral training with financing from other aid intended for predoctoral training through the development of a doctoral thesis that has been awarded within the framework of the State Plan for Research, Development and Technological Innovation or any of the previous National Plans. b) Be in possession of a Doctorate degree from any Spanish or foreign university. c) Have enjoyed, prior to submitting the application, a predoctoral contract for a period of more than twelve months. Second. Object. 1. The purpose of this call is the training of research personnel who wish to obtain a doctorate degree at the University of La Rioja, linked univocally to a financial research project.
