Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. The beneficiaries of the scholarships that are the subject of this call in accordance with Regulatory Base III will be the people from the municipality of El Sauzal who meet the requirements detailed below: A. Be registered in the municipality of El Sauzal, with at least 6 months of experience. B. Be studying during the 2024-2025 academic year any of the following official courses at the public University (including the UNED and, exceptionally, the private university, when in the latter case there is no Public University in the Canary Islands in which the studies taken are taught): Official Undergraduate or Postgraduate University Courses. The minimum number of credits that the student must enroll in the course for which the scholarship is requested will be the integer number resulting from dividing the total credits of the degree by twice the number of years that comprise it. However, when the number of credits remaining for the student to complete their studies does not reach the minimum required in the previous section, this requirement will be deemed to have been met only if the student is enrolled in the course for which they are requesting the scholarship for all the credits remaining to complete the degree. C. The amount of the subsidy may under no circumstances be of such an amount that, alone or in conjunction with other subsidies, aid, income or resources, it exceeds the cost of the subsidized activity. D. For the award of aid, in the event that the allocated credit is insufficient to cover all applications, the concurrence of any of the following circumstances will be taken into account in the order of priority indicated: 1. Being absolute orphans, being in care or custody and/or being supervised by custody or protection measures. 2. Belong to a family unit in which one of the members is affected by a legally qualified disability, that is, with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%. 3. Income level of the beneficiary's family unit. 4. Belong to a large family. 5. Order of preference will be given to undergraduate university studies over postgraduate studies in the event of a tie between applicants. 6. Be a recipient of other aid or subsidies for the same purpose. E. Applicants who have been beneficiaries of this scholarship from the El Sauzal City Council in 2023 must prove that they have submitted to this City Council a report applying the knowledge obtained during the academic year, on how to improve some aspect of the municipality of El Sauzal, in accordance with the provisions of Regulatory Base IX before the end of the period to submit the corresponding application in accordance with this call. Second. Object. The purpose of these subsidies as established in Regulatory Base I is to promote the improvement of the educational level of the residents of El Sauzal, guaranteeing equality in the exercise of the right to education of students and promoting their access to the different university levels of education. These scholarships are of a special nature and establish as beneficiaries university students, of Official Undergraduate or Postgraduate University Education, depending on their financial resources, academic record, level of studies, etc. In matters not provided for in these rules, the provisions of the General Subsidies Ordinance of this City Council will apply. Third. Regulatory bases. The regulatory bases of this subsidy have been approved by Plenary agreement, held in an ordinary session on May 31, 2024, and published in the BOP of Santa Cruz de Tenerife no. 94, dated August 5, 2024, as no allegations or claims were submitted for their initial approval. In addition, you must comply with the provisions of the General Subsidies Ordinance of the El Sauzal City Council, published in the BOP of Santa Cruz de Tenerife no. 47, Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The credit of this call amounts to a total amount of €25,000.00, which will be attributed to the application.
