Extract from the Presidency resolution dated December 5, 2024 of the Diputació de Girona regarding the approval of the advance call for subsidies for actions in forestry and forest fire prevention annuities 2025-2026 BDNS: In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b and 20.8 a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, the extract of the call, the text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans). First. Beneficiaries - Support to town councils for sustainable forest management and for forestry improvement treatments: Town councils and/or decentralized municipal entities (EMD) of municipalities in the province of Girona that have approved the delimitation plan, in accordance with Law 5/2003, of April 22, on fire prevention measures in urbanizations, population centers, buildings and facilities located on forest land, and that are owners of properties that are considered forest lands in accordance with article 2 of Law 6/1988, of March 30, Forestry of Catalonia, or in the case of concept d, town councils or EMDs that have or propose custody agreements for privately owned forests. - Support for the ADF groups in the Girona regions: The ADF and the ADF federations that include the ADF of the province of Girona, which are legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry. - Support to municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants for forestry work to prevent forest fires provided for in Law 5/2003, of April 22, on forest fire prevention measures in urbanizations, population centers, buildings and facilities located on forest land, and in municipal forest fire prevention plans: City councils and EMDs of municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants that meet the following conditions: ? Have the delimitation plan definitively approved. ? If the subsidy is requested for concept a, it will be necessary to have an approved executive project or, when the project is not necessary due to the nature of the work, a report that determines the work on the vegetation that must be carried out to comply with the obligations of Law 5/2003, of April 22, on measures to prevent forest fires in urbanizations, population centers, buildings and facilities located on forest land. ? If the subsidy is requested for the maintenance of perimeter strips, the opening of the strips for which the subsidy is requested must be completed. ? If the subsidy is requested for municipal interior plots and/or forested green areas, the city council must be the owner of the green areas or interior plots for which the subsidy is requested. ? If the subsidy is requested for concept b, the city council will need to have a municipal forest fire prevention plan approved or presented to the Generalitat for approval. - Support to associations of forest owners to promote joint forest management with objectives of adaptation of forests to climate change, fire prevention and/or biomass production: Associations, groups and federations of forest owners in the province of Girona that are legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry and that in their field of work have a joint forest management instrument (IOF) or a strategic planning document or equivalent, which plan at the municipal or supra-municipal levels. fire prevention actions and/or biomass use.
