Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries The beneficiaries of school cafeteria aid are the students who meet the following requirements: a) Students who reside in Catalonia may receive this cafeteria aid. b) Be enrolled in a school in the region supported by public funds from Catalonia, in the second and third courses of the first cycle of early childhood education, in those schools owned by the Generalitat where it has been implemented, and any of the courses of the second cycle of early childhood education and compulsory education, during the course corresponding to the call. c) Make use of the school cafeteria service. d) Lack of free dining room service. e) Not being in residential care. - Exceptionally, students with shared schooling may obtain two grants, which together may never exceed the number of total teaching days of the school year. Second. Purpose: The purpose of this call is the granting of individual school cafeteria aid for socioeconomic and geographical needs, in accordance with the budgetary provision, for students of second cycle early childhood education, primary education and compulsory secondary education in the La Selva region, to guarantee the principle of equal opportunities in the school population in unfavorable socioeconomic situations. Third. Regulatory bases: This call will be governed by the regulatory bases published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona, number 74, dated April 16, 2024 Fourth. Amount: The global amount that the Regional Council will allocate to individual travel aid will not exceed the amount transferred for this concept by the Department of Education. Fifth. Submission deadline: For the aid to be applied on the first day of the course, they must be requested no later than June 1 (except in the cases of students who will take I3, for which this date will be extended until July 15, due to their later registration). Applications received between June 2 and September 10 and are resolved favorably will be applied starting October 1. From there, requests received between the 11th of each month and the 10th of the following month, and which are resolved favorably, will be applied from the 1st of the month following the latter.
