Official description of the call
First. Object. 1. The purpose of this call is to finance investments in works and provision of equipment aimed at improving the safety and accessibility conditions of theaters and performing arts venues located in the City of Madrid. 2. Other investments in rehabilitation and improvement works will also be the subject of this aid, such as those aimed at improving the energy efficiency of the building or its facilities, works to improve acoustics and soundproofing, the restoration of protected immovable cultural assets and investments in stage equipment, provided that the theater, in accordance with the project presented, has sufficiently covered the security and accessibility measures required in the applicable regulations. 3. Investments in works and provision of equipment aimed at improving safety and accessibility conditions for the reopening of theaters and performing arts venues located in the City of Madrid that have ceased operations may also be subject to subsidy. Second. Beneficiaries. Applicants for aid may be both natural and legal persons, who are owners or tenants of theater halls dedicated to performing arts in the municipality of Madrid, with a minimum of two years of activity and who have performed at least 100 performances in the last two years or can prove a reopening project after the cessation of their activity. Third. Regulatory regulations. Ordinance of General Regulatory Bases for the granting of Subsidies by the Madrid City Council and its Public Bodies of October 30, 2013, published on www.madrid.es. Room. Amount. The total amount of this call is 430,000.00 euros. Fifth. Application submission deadline. Applications may be submitted within a period of 15 business days from the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Sixth. Other data. Financing may be granted to actions that have been carried out during the period between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025 and that have not been subject to a previous subsidy. Seventh. Publication. An extract of the call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid and the full text in the Official Gazette of the Madrid City Council and in the electronic headquarters of the Madrid City Council (https://sede.madrid.es). The publicity of the calls in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid will be carried out through the National Subsidies Database, in accordance with the provisions of article 20.8 a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17.
