CALL FOR THE SHORT STORY CONTEST OF THE REY JUAN CARLOS UNIVERSITY 2025, XIX EDITION, “STORIES FROM A WORLD IN CHANGE”. BDNS: 830725 In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, of the University System, and other applicable legislation, in particular, Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, Law 2/1995, of March 8, of subsidies of the Community of Madrid, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the Database National Grants First. Beneficiaries: Any member of the university community of the Rey Juan Carlos University may participate, a condition that must be able to prove if required. Second. Theme. Climate change is not just a matter of scientific data and predictions; It is a reality that affects people, communities and landscapes around the world. In this 19th edition of the URJC Short Story Contest, the Rey Juan Carlos University invites participants to write a story that, from fiction or inspired by real events, addresses the multiple dimensions of this global crisis. Third. Regulatory bases. The call is regulated by the rules published on the electronic notice board of the Rey Juan Carlos University. https://sede.urjc.es/tablon-oficial Fourth. Amount. A first prize of 500 euros. A second prize of 300 euros. A third prize of 200 euros. These prizes will be charged to budget item 30.VC.CD.CU, Economic 483.00 (Scholarships, training and others) Program 423B, of the expense budget of the Vice-Rectorate of Campus Community, Culture and Sports corresponding to the year 2025. This amount will be subject to current legislation on tax matters, with the legally established personal income tax withholdings being applied to said amount. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting the proposed works will be 30 calendar days following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Sixth.
