CONV. AID 2026A COMPANIES FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FEATURE FILMS

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries and requirements Independent audiovisual production companies that carry out their activity in the Community of Madrid and that meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases and in this call will be able to access these aids. To obtain beneficiary status, applicants must prove, among others, compliance with the following requirements: a) Have, at least, a headquarters in the Community of Madrid (or, in the case of companies outside Spanish territory, a subsidiary domiciled in the Community of Madrid) and be registered as a producer in the Registry of Cinematographic and Audiovisual Companies of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA). b) Accredit the cultural nature of the audiovisual project through compliance with at least two of the conditions provided for in the fourth provision, section 2, of the Call Order. Second. Purpose and help lines The help lines will be the following: a) Aid for the production of feature films based on projects by non-new directors. b) Aid for the production of feature films based on projects by new directors. The audiovisual projects that are the subject of this aid may be classified, by virtue of their content and technique, as fiction, animation or documentary. Third. Regulatory Bases The regulatory bases of the aid have been approved by Order 558/2026, of April 6, of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports (BOCM no. 90, of April 17, 2026). https://www.bocm.es/boletin/CM_Orden_BOCM/2026/04/17/BOCM-20260417-15.PDF Fourth. Amount This call is annual and amounts to a maximum amount of THREE MILLION EUROS (€3,000,000), which will be paid from budget position G/334A/47399, of the General Directorate of Culture and Creative Industries of the Expenditure Budgets of the Community of Madrid for 2026. The maximum amount of aid per project, depending on its category, will be the following: a) Animated feature films: €300,000. b) Fiction feature films: €250,000. c) Documentary feature films: €40,000. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen business days, counting from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid of the extract of this Call Order through the National Subsidies Database. Sixth. Eligible period The eligible period will be between June 1, 2026 and October 31, 2028, with the subsidized films must be completed before November 1, 2028. Seventh. Maximum deadline for justification and accreditation All documentation related to justification will be presented in the Electronic Registry of the Community of Madrid, or in the other electronic records provided for in article 16.4 a) of Law 39/2015, of October 1, with a maximum submission date of December 1, 2028.
