First.- Beneficiaries. 1. Research teams made up of personnel with links to the University of Valladolid, who meet the conditions established in this call, may submit applications.2. The following will be part of the research team: a) The teaching and research staff (PDI) of the University of Valladolid, with official or contractual ties. b) The staff hired in competitive programs to attract postdoctoral talent. c) The research staff in training whose doctoral thesis is directly related to the topic of the project.3. The person who acts as the principal investigator (PI) of the project must meet the following requirements: a) Possess a doctorate degree. b) Maintain a civil or employment relationship with the University of Valladolid throughout the entire period of project execution. c) Have defended the doctoral thesis after January 1, 2015. d) Accredit at least six years of current research or equivalent merits, such as recognition of the R3 level in accordance with the European career framework. researcher.e) Not having previously directed projects funded in competitive calls with an endowment of more than 15,000 euros, including research contracts signed under article 60 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, of the University System.4. No person who is part of the research team may simultaneously participate in another competitive financing project in the execution phase.5. The research team will consist of a minimum of two people. The project may be directed by one person or co-directed by two people. In the latter case, the need must be justified, and both people must meet the requirements to exercise the functions of IP.6. Each person may only appear in one application within this call, whether exercising the PI function or as a member of the research team.7. Modifications in the composition of the research teams must comply with the procedure established in Chapter VI. Second.- Objective/Purpose. 1. The purpose of this call is to promote emerging research talent and contribute to the consolidation of new research teams within the University of Valladolid, through the financing of pre-competitive research projects that serve as a basis for their subsequent participation in national and international competitive calls.2. The initiative is aimed at teams led by young research personnel who have not previously held management functions in projects financed with relevant competitive funds, and who wish to develop proposals with high potential for innovation, transfer and scientific projection.3. The aim is also to stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration and promote the exploration of new lines of research aligned with the great contemporary scientific, technological and social challenges.4. Priority will be given to proposals that significantly incorporate emerging techniques, methodologies or knowledge—including artificial intelligence or other transformative strategies—as long as their inclusion is duly justified and relevant to the objectives and focus of the project, regardless of the academic area to which it belongs.5. The aid provided for in this call has an institutional nature and is part of the strategic actions to promote research promoted by the Vice-Rectorate with powers in this matter. Third.- Regulatory bases. Regulatory bases for research grants from the University of Valladolid, approved by agreement of the Governing Council of March 24, 2023, BOCyL of April 5, 2023, modified by agreement of the Permanent Commission of the Governing Council, of February 18, 2025, BOCyL of March 3, 2025. Fourth.- Fourth. The maximum amount allocated to this call will be 100,000 euros for the first year (budget year 2025) and another 100,000 euros for the second year (budget year 2025).
