Official description of the call
First. - Beneficiaries Legally constituted entities that are registered with the Carballo City Council or groups of natural or legal persons, public or private, or groups established with the purpose of carrying out the purpose of this call, may apply for these subsidies, provided that they also meet the following requirements: • Develop a program of festive activities for a popular festival in the period of dates specified in this call. • Be non-profit and that the subsidized activities do not pursue a profit purpose. • That the scope of action is the municipality of Carballo. • That they have their headquarters in the municipality and carry out their activities regularly there. • Not having to justify any subsidy or financial aid with the City Council corresponding to the previous year. • Have civil liability insurance that covers this activity and have submitted the Responsible Declaration for holding the party and have not been denied. • In the case of groups of natural or legal persons, public or private, or groups formed with the purpose of carrying out the purpose of this call, they must expressly state, both in the application and in the granting resolution, the execution commitments assumed by each member of the group, as well as the amount of subsidy to be applied by each of them, who will also be considered beneficiaries. In any case, a representative or sole representative of the group must be appointed, with sufficient power to fulfill the duties that, as beneficiary, correspond to the group. Second. - Purpose These subsidies are intended to collaborate with the Festival Commissions of the municipality of Carballo for the realization of popular, traditional and/or patron saint festivals with cultural or gastronomic roots already consolidated in the municipality of Carballo during the year 2025 (until October 31) and those that were held after October 25, 2024, the date on which the application period for the previous call ended, and have been submitted by entry registration from the Carballo City Council the responsible declaration of the aforementioned party. The activities must be open to all citizens, take place in accessible spaces and for public or neighborhood use and have free entry. The same party will only be subsidized through a single party commission. Excluded from this Call are youth or similar festivals, parties organized for commemorations or private celebrations or those of private origin, those organized by individuals or for-profit entities or those intended solely for members of an entity or a particular group. Third. - Regulatory Bases The regulatory bases of this call were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña no. 85, of Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Fourth. - Eligible actions Eligible activities, in this call, will be the holding of popular festivals and eligible expenses are considered those that undoubtedly respond to the nature of the subsidized activity and are strictly necessary and are carried out within the established period. Only expenses derived from the contracting of musical or cultural activities, infrastructure rental expenses, insurance, copyright payments, advertising expenses and pyrotechnics will be admitted as eligible expenses. Fifth. - Amount The global amount allocated to the granting of these subsidies is €30,000. Sixth. - Deadline for submitting applications Entities that request a subsidy must submit their applications at the electronic headquarters of the Carballo City Council (in the case of individuals or groups of natural or legal persons, they can do so at the General Registry of the Carballo City Council). The period begins the day after the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP, through the National Subsidies Database and ends on November 3, 2025. Seventh. - Justification period An abbreviated procedure will be followed for the instruction of this call. The payment of the subsidy will be carried out by bank transfer, in a single payment, without the need to present any type of legal document.
