Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. The owners of extensive and semi-extensive sheep and/or goat livestock farms located in the territory of Castilla-La Mancha who meet the requirements to be considered active farmers, in accordance with article 5 of Royal Decree 1048/2022, of December 27, on the application, from 2023, of interventions in the form of direct payments and the establishment of common requirements in the framework of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy, and the regulation of the single request of the integrated management and control system, and that they voluntarily commit to carry out actions aimed at fulfilling the commitments established in favor of animal welfare. Second. Purpose To call, through the advance processing procedure, in the year 2025, the initial and annual aid for the intervention called "Commitments for animal welfare and health", established in Order 40/2025, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid for the intervention called commitments for animal welfare and health in Castilla-La Mancha through the European Fund Agricultural Policy for Rural Development (EAFRD), provided for in the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy for the period 2023-2027. Third. Regulatory bases. Order 40/2025, of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid for the intervention called commitments for animal welfare and health in Castilla-La Mancha through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), provided for in the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy for the period 2023-2027, published in DOCM no. 59 of March 26. Room. Amount. The aid provided for in this intervention will consist of an annual payment by UGM, as a result of lost profits to compensate for a part of the additional costs and/or loss of income incurred when carrying out actions aimed at fulfilling the commitments. The unit amount of the aid results from the quantification of lost profits and loss of income in accordance with article 82 of Regulation 2021/2115 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and will be 75 euros/LUM with a limit of 3,450 euros per holding per year. The aid will be financed within the framework of the National Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027, in which this intervention is included within the commitments to animal welfare and health, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). They will be co-financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries and Food and the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), in the percentages established in the National Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy for the period 2023-2027, which are 14%, 6% and 80% respectively, charged to the budget item. 210400000G/713B/4732R. For this initial call for aid and the payment annuities derived from it, the total amount is 18,000,000 euros, being conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the corresponding budget year Fifth. Application submission deadline. Persons interested in benefiting from the aid must submit an initial application in accordance with the provisions of the Order establishing the single application for aid from the Common Agricultural Policy in Castilla-La Mancha, its form and submission deadline.
