Universidad Rey Juan Carlos Resolution dated May 22, 2025 of the Rector of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, by which the second call for awards for the best final degree projects, final master's projects and doctoral theses related to tourism defended in the year 2024 is approved and made public. BDNS: 834667 Extract from the Rectoral Resolution of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos dated May 22, 2025 by which the Regulatory Bases are approved and the second call for awards for the best final degree projects, master's final projects and doctoral theses related to tourism defended in the year 2024 is made public. In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, the extract of the Call whose full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index). First: Beneficiaries The recipients of these awards are students from the Rey Juan Carlos University who have presented their work (TFG, TFM or Doctoral Thesis) during the year 2024 (calendar year) and who have been qualified with a grade equal to or greater than 8 in the case of the TFG and TFM and with outstanding Cum Laude in the case of Doctoral Theses, whether of practical or theoretical content and explicitly linked to research on tourism. To obtain the awards object of this call, the beneficiaries must meet the requirements established therein: General Requirements a) Have presented the work (TFG, TFM or Doctoral Thesis) during the year 2024 (calendar year) at the Rey Juan Carlos University, provided that the work has been graded with a minimum grade of 8 (TFG or TFM) or Outstanding Cum Laude (Doctoral Thesis). b)Have written the work in Spanish or in any of the co-official languages of the Spanish State, or in English. c)Having been carried out by an author or by several authors. In the case of group works, the prize will be distributed equally among its co-authors. d)The theme of the work must be framed in tourism. e)The works must be original and unpublished. f) Applicants will comply with all legal requirements of confidentiality and originality of their work and assume any responsibility derived from non-compliance. g)In the event that the work is awarded, it must be published in the institutional repository of the BURJC (https://burjcdigital.urjc.es/home). Students who meet any of the circumstances listed in article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, General Subsidies, will not be able to obtain beneficiary status. Other Requirements That you accept these bases and its call. That all the data included in the application is true. That you are aware that any inaccuracy of the declared facts may lead to definitive exclusion from this contest. Be up to date with your tax and Social Security obligations. Not be a debtor for reimbursement of other subsidies that have been granted. Not be subject to any of the prohibitions contained in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies. Likewise, the signatory undertakes to maintain these requirements during the period of time inherent to the recognition of the right to collect the prize, as well as the obligations of article 14 of the General Law of Subsidies and any others that establish the bases. Second: Objective The purpose of this call is to encourage and promote research related to tourism at the URJC, promoting critical, creative and cooperative thinking among its students through Final Degree Projects (TFG), Final Master's Projects (TFM) and Doctoral Theses. To this end, prizes will be awarded on a competitive basis to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students whose work (TFG, TFM and Doctoral Theses) contributes to the advancement of research on tourism in any of the areas of knowledge included in Annex I of the R.D. 822/2021, of September 28, which establishes the organization of university education
