Official description of the call
FIRST.- BENEFICIARIES. Social associations of the municipality that carry out their activities within the municipal area of Almendralejo may attend this call. SECOND.- OBJECT. The purpose of this call for subsidies is to grant financial aid, on a competitive basis, to associations and other non-profit entities of a social nature, which carry out programs of a social nature and of general interest in the municipality of Almendralejo, during the financial year 2025. The following are considered programs or activities of general interest, for the purposes of this call for subsidies: 1. Programs aimed at children, adolescents and families: Programs and activities aimed at disseminating the rights of children and prevention, promotion and participation in the field of childhood, adolescence and families. 2.- Prevention, promotion and support programs for vulnerable groups or groups at risk of social exclusion, which develop any of the following purposes: a. Prevent social exclusion. b. Promote the social and labor incorporation of people at risk of social exclusion. c. Promote those projects or activities focused on vulnerable or excluded groups or collectives, whose purpose is their social inclusion. d. Develop activities aimed at raising awareness in society in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. 3.- Programs aimed at welcoming and integrating immigrants, promoting social cohesion, and promoting values of tolerance and equality, combating racist, xenophobic and violent attitudes, that develop some of the following purposes: a. Prevent racist and xenophobic attitudes, through awareness-raising, dissemination and information actions aimed at all citizens, taking into account those activities or projects that involve the participation of the host society or specific groups (minors, families, women...). b. Promote initiatives that promote interculturality and coexistence and/or that promote a positive image of the immigrant population, dismantling existing stereotypes and prejudices. c. Promote integration between people from other countries and the native population, encouraging their participation in all social spheres. d. Provide shelter, information and support to immigrants and refugees. and. Promote projects or activities specifically aimed at immigrant groups in vulnerable situations or at risk of social exclusion. F. Promote actions aimed at facilitating the social integration of immigrant women. 4. Programs aimed at people with disabilities that develop any of the following objectives: a. Raise awareness and inform the general population. b. Provide information, advice and social support. c. Promote the promotion of the participation of people with disabilities and their families. d. Promote the social integration of people with disabilities in their environment. and. Promote the autonomy of people with disabilities and their families. THIRD.- AMOUNT AND FINANCING. The total amount of the subsidies to be granted will not exceed the total amount of €45,000.00 charged to budget item 23100 48000 of the current municipal budget, provided there is sufficient budgetary credit. FOURTH.- DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS. The application, accompanied by the corresponding complementary requested documentation, must be submitted through the Electronic Office of the Excmo. Almendralejo City Council or through any of the forms provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, addressed to the Mayor-President, within a period of twenty calendar days from the publication of this call in the B.O.P. from Badajoz. FIFTH.- OTHER DATA. Applicant entities are required to interact through electronic means with the administration for the processing of this grant. Subsidy applications and annexes will be available on the Almendralejo City Council website (https://www.almendralejo.es) and will be submitted electronically through the City Council's Electronic Headquarters.
