Official description of the call
First: Beneficiaries Journalists and photojournalists of any nationality. Second: Purpose In order to highlight journalistic works in which professional and human values of honesty and independence are present, the Provincial Council of Seville announces the “Manuel Chaves Nogales” International Journalism Award for the year 2025 to award four awards in the categories of press in paper or digital format, radio, audiovisual and photography. Third: Regulatory Bases This call will be governed by Resolution No. 4461/2025, of July 3, which establishes the regulatory bases of the “Manuel Chaves Nogales” International Journalism Award, 2025 edition, which are published in the BOP, on the Electronic Board and the Transparency Portal of the Provincial Council of Seville. Fourth: Amount Each prize is worth €6,000, amounts to which the withholdings provided for in tax legislation will be applied. Participating persons may only compete for the awards under one modality and a single candidacy. For the purposes of collecting the prizes, the authors of the winning works are taken as a reference, regardless of who submitted the candidacy. Fifth: Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting works will be from the time following the publication of the extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville until September 30, 2025. Sixth: Others The works must be submitted, according to each modality, with the specifications determined in the bases.
