Official description of the call
FIRST.- PURPOSE The purpose of these rules and call is to establish the rules that must govern participation in the procedure to award the awards for the “Ciudad de Coria” Non-Professional Theater Contest for the current year, and the obligations derived from it. SECOND.- BENEFICIARY ENTITIES Non-professional theater groups may be beneficiaries of the awards, except local groups. THIRD.- DURATION The Contest will be held in the City of Coria from October 17 to November 28, 2025. FOURTH.- PARTICIPATION All non-professional theater groups that wish to participate may participate, with the exception of local groups, which meet the requirements of the regulatory bases. FIFTH.- REQUESTS Requests for participation will be addressed to the Mayor's Office of the City Council of Coria and will be presented through the Electronic Headquarters of this City Council, from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) until September 19, 2025, inclusive, attaching the following documentation: Application for participation, according to Annex I of these bases, in which the group's data will be detailed (name, address, telephone, etc.). Group resume. Title of the work, author and summary of it. Casting and technical needs of the assembly, including a Teaser of the work. Any additional information you wish to provide. SIXTH.- COMPETENT BODY FOR THE ORGANIZATION, INSTRUCTION AND RESOLUTION OF THE PROCEDURE The competent body to resolve will be the Mayor's Office. SEVENTH.- EVALUATION CRITERIA AND SELECTION PROCEDURE Different aspects of the interpretation will be analyzed: oral expression, body expression, scenography, costumes, group work and staging, evaluating these criteria with a score from 0 to 10 points, without prejudice to declaring any theater group void, in case they do not obtain the minimum score of 5. In the event of a tie, the Prize will be distributed equally among the participants who have obtained the same score. Of all the groups that attend, the Organizing Commission will select four groups, which will be those that participate in the “Ciudad de Coria” Non-Professional Theater Contest, which will be held on October 17, 24 and November 14, 21, 2025. The selection carried out by the Organizing Commission will be communicated to all participants on October 3, 2025. EIGHTH.- AWARDS AND AWARDS Each of the groups selected to participate in this Contest will be awarded a prize of €900, to which the withholdings contemplated in the current regulatory provisions will be applied, justifying such prize with the performance of the winning work in the Non-Professional Theater Contest. In the event that the beneficiaries do not represent the selected work, the prize will not be awarded. The Contest Jury will award the awards outlined below at the closing ceremony of the Contest, which will take place on November 28, 2025, and which will be attended by representatives of each of the participating groups. The awards will consist of a plaque of honor that will be awarded for the following merits: Best direction. Best male performance. Best female performance. Best scenery. Best wardrobe. Special audience award. Each member of the Jury will score from 0 to 10 for each of the merits. The sum of all the aforementioned merits will give the result of the winners, without prejudice to the possibility of declaring any award void. The person who is a professional is excluded from the corresponding merit award. NINTH.- JURY The Jury will be made up of an Organizing Commission, chaired by the representative of the Department of Culture, in which leading people in the field of theater and entertainment will participate as members. TENTH.- BUDGET CREDIT AND AMOUNT The total amount of prizes will be 3,600 euros, which will be allocated to budget item 334 48102 of the current expense budget. ELEVENTH.- PROPOSED FINAL RESOLUTION AND NOTIFICATION Once the applications have been evaluated by the investigating body, it will formulate the final resolution proposal. The resolution will be notified to the people proposed as beneficiaries. TWELFTH.- MEANS OF NOTIFICATION OR PUBLICATION Notifications to persons
