Official description of the call
First. Object. Promote the creation of nativity scenes and maintain the tradition of their installation, encouraging the participation of groups and educational centers. Second. Participants. All nativity scenes installed in residences and senior centers, neighborhood, cultural and youth associations, legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry, religious groups, as well as educational centers in the municipality of Badajoz, may participate. Each entity may present a maximum of one nativity scene per modality. Third. Regulatory Bases. General subsidy ordinance of the Hon. Badajoz City Council, published in the B.O.P. number 21 dated February 2, 2009. Fourth. Modalities: Characteristics, Categories, Awards. Two modalities are called: Modality A): Traditional Nativity Scene. The jury will determine the dates and times of the visit to the exhibition sites of the Traditional Nativity Scene, with December 12, 2025 being the deadline for the jury to evaluate the Nativity scene. Participants must indicate the days and hours open to the public in the application (Annex I). Two categories are established: a) Residences and senior centers, religious groups, neighborhood, cultural and youth associations of Badajoz: The prizes established for this category are the following: 1st prize: 650 euros. 2nd prize: 350 euros. 3rd prize: 250 euros. The awards will be accompanied by their corresponding diploma and a trophy will be presented to the winning centers. b) Badajoz educational centers: The prizes established for this category are the following: 1st prize: 400 euros. 2nd prize: 300 euros. 3rd prize: 200 euros. The awards will be accompanied by their corresponding diploma and a trophy will be presented to the winning centers. Modality B): Living Nativity Scene. The jury will determine the dates and times of the visit to the places of representation of the Living Nativity Scene, informing those interested. Participants must indicate the days and hours open to the public in the application (Annex I). Two categories are established: a) Residences and centers for the elderly, religious groups, neighborhood, cultural and youth associations duly registered: The prizes established for this category are the following: 1st prize: 800 euros. 2nd prize: 650 euros. 3rd prize: 500 euros. The awards will be accompanied by their corresponding diploma and a trophy will be presented to the winning centers. b) Badajoz educational centers: The prizes established for this category are the following: 1st prize: 400 euros. 2nd prize: 300 euros. 3rd prize: 200 euros. The awards will be accompanied by their corresponding diploma and a trophy will be presented to the winning centers. The prizes of each modality will be subject to current tax legislation, with legally established withholdings being made on said amounts. Fifth. Presentation Form and Registration Deadline. Participants who opt for the contest must complete and sign the application corresponding to each modality, which contains a Responsible Declaration stating that the participants meet the requirements to obtain the status of beneficiary, according to the standardized model that appears in Annex I of this call, available on the website of the Excmo. Badajoz City Council www.aytobadajoz.es. Registrations will be submitted at the Department of Culture, located at C/Soto Mancera 8, Badajoz, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except holidays, or at the email address counciliadecultura@aytobadajoz.es, from the day after the publication of the Extract of this call in the BOP of Badajoz until 2:30 p.m. on December 3 of 2025.
