Official description of the call
BDNS (id): 875243 First. Beneficiaries. All young people of Spanish nationality, as well as foreigners who are legally residing in Spain, aged between 16 and 35 years, on December 31, 2025, may participate in this contest. You may participate in one, all or several of the artistic modalities of the Contest in a single category. You will not be able to participate in the same artistic modality of this Contest in which you would have obtained a prize in any of its previous editions. In no case may those who find themselves in any of the circumstances of article 12, sections 2 and 3, of the Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Subsidies, acquire the status of beneficiaries. Second. Object. The purpose of this Resolution is to announce, on a competitive basis, the Pancho Cossío awards of 2025. The artistic modalities convened in this edition are: Painting. Drawing/Illustration/Comic. Sculpture/Installation/Performance/Engraving. Photograph. Video Creation. Graphic Design. These modalities are subdivided into two categories according to the age of the participants: Category A for young people between 16 and 20 years of age, turned on December 31, 2025. Category B for young people between 21 and 35 years of age, turned on December 31, 2025. The receipt of this prize is compatible with any other subsidies, aid, income, prizes or resources for the same purpose, coming from public organizations or private, national, European Union or international organizations. Each author may present a single work per modality, and may be presented in one, all or several of the six artistic modalities determined in the call. The works may not have been awarded prior to the resolution of this contest. Failure to comply with this obligation will result in the total revocation of the prize awarded. One work may be submitted per modality. If more than one work is submitted in any modality, none of them will be valued. Third. Regulatory bases. This call is governed by the provisions of Order ISO/13/2024, of October 11, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of the Pancho Cossío National Awards of the Government of Cantabria, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria No. 202, of October 17, 2024. Fourth. Amount. The maximum overall amount of this call is set at twelve thousand euros (€12,000). A prize of one thousand euros (€1,000.00) will be awarded per modality and category, without prejudice to the jury declaring any of the prizes void. Fifth. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty business days counted from the day following the publication of this extract in the Official Gazette of Cantabria. Sixth. Other data. Applications must be submitted on an official form, duly completed and signed by the applicant, accompanied by the documentation established in article 5 of the call regulated in the Resolution of the Minister of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, of December 18, 2025.
