1. Purpose The purpose of these rules is to establish the conditions for the granting of prizes, on a competitive basis, by the Youth Department of the Zumarraga City Council, aimed at young people who, during the academic year corresponding to the call, have written, presented and approved Final Degree Projects (TFG) or Final Master's Projects (TFM). Frequently, the research work necessary to obtain the official Bachelor's or Master's degree addresses topics of interest to the student, but with little social impact. This award seeks to offer higher education students an incentive to produce work with a clear community return, since the knowledge generated can be translated into diagnoses, proposals for improvement, recovery of memory or innovation, all of this applied to Zumarraga. The ultimate purpose of this award is twofold: on the one hand, to promote scientific research among young people studying higher education, thus recognizing their academic and economic efforts; and, on the other hand, promote the generation, dissemination and conservation of knowledge about the municipality itself. All TFG or TFM written in any of the two official languages of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country may be submitted for the award: Basque or Spanish.
