Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries All people of legal age, who did not obtain the award in the five years prior to this one, and who present unpublished works that have not previously been awarded in any other award or competition, may participate. Second. Object With the desire to promote literary creativity aimed at the world of the little ones and to commemorate this legendary character linked to the lands of Compostela, the “Raíña Lupa” Prize for children's and youth literature for the year 2026 is announced. Third. Regulatory Bases This call will be governed by the Regulatory Bases published in BOP number 246 of December 24, 2025 available at: https://bop.dacoruna.gal/bopportal/publicado/2025/12/24/2025_0000008607.pdf Fourth. Amount The amount of the allocation amounts to a total of €13,000.00, charged to item 0612/3341/481 of the ordinary Budget for 2026. Two prizes are established, worth €6,500 each, for each of the following modalities: - CHILDREN: works specifically aimed at the children's reading public. - YOUTH: works specifically aimed at the youth reading public. The prizes may remain void and be awarded ex aequo; In this case, the amount will be distributed proportionally among the people who are awarded. Fifth. Application submission period The application period will begin on February 10, 2026, and will end on April 10, 2026. Sixth. Other information The works will be presented, preferably, on USB/CD digital support, and together with the escrow they will be sent, postage paid, to the Provincial Council of A Coruña, Avda. Porto da Coruña 2, 15003 A Coruña, indicating on the envelope the "Raíña Lupa" Award for children's and youth literature.
