By Mayor's Presidency Decree number 2026/47, dated January 12, the agreement was adopted to approve the Call for Social Emergency Aid of Extreme Urgency for the exercise. In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3 b) and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, which economic io 2026, charge to the Concerted Basic Benefits Plan 2026, financed with funds from the Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and Agenda 2030 of the State; from the Department of Social Welfare, Equality, Youth, Children and Families of the Government of the Canary Islands; and of this municipal entity. First. Beneficiaries: 1.- Persons may be recognized as applicants for economic benefits from Social Services as long as they meet the following requirements: a) Have Spanish nationality and refugees, asylum seekers, stateless persons, as well as resident or transient foreigners in the terms provided for in article 3 of Law 8/1987, of April 28, on Social Services. b) Be of legal age or be legally emancipated, or failing that, have initiated the legal emancipation process. c) Be registered and effectively reside in the municipality of Los Realejos, except for transients who are in a situation of extreme urgency. d) That they do not have sufficient financial resources to meet the expenses of the requested benefit, according to the limits established in each of the aids. e) Not hold the status of owner or usufructuary of movable or immovable property, with the exception of the home where one has habitual residence, which due to its characteristics, valuation, possibility of exploitation or sale, clearly indicates the non-existence of sufficient means to meet the need for which the aid is requested, except that, having a home under ownership, there is a right of use in favor of a third party established in a judicial resolution, or only has the bare ownership of another housing encumbered with a right of usufruct in favor of a third party. It will be understood that there are sufficient material assets to meet by themselves the need for which the aid is requested, when: I.- In the case of assets of a rural nature, the surface of the same or added together exceeds 1,000 square meters, except that it is annexed to the habitual residence or exceptional circumstances, duly valued in the social report. II.- Assets of an urban nature, except in the case of a garage or storage room located in the same building in which the habitual residence is located or exceptional circumstances, duly assessed in the social report. III.- In the event that capital gains are recorded in the income tax return of any of the members of the family unit over 18 years of age, the amount of said capital, which may not exceed 3,000 euros, must be accredited by means of a bank statement. The aforementioned limit will not be taken into account when exceptional circumstances occur, duly accredited, which must be reflected in the social report. Those people who, in addition to meeting the established requirements, specifically do not have sufficient financial resources to cover the expense to which the aid will be allocated, may be recognized as beneficiaries of social emergency aid.
