First. Beneficiaries The following may be beneficiaries of this aid: 1. Emigrants born in Galicia and residents in one of the American countries for which the Spanish State has established a calculation base for the benefit due to need in the year prior to the call. 2. The children of those who reside in any of the American countries indicated above, provided that they have Spanish nationality and are linked to any Galician city council in the Register of Spaniards residing abroad (PERE) since, at least, 3 months before the date of submission of the application. 3. In the event of emergency situations that affect health conditions, causing extraordinary health or care expenses for the applicant, descendants of Galician emigrants up to the second degree by consanguinity who meet the same conditions as the previous number may also be recipients.
