Official description of the call
Extract from the Resolution of March 6, 2026, of the Ministry of Culture, Language Policy and Sports, which approves the public call for subsidies under a competitive competition regime of the Ministry of Culture, Language Policy and Sports for local entities of the Principality of Asturias in the year 2026 (Line 2A - Operation of museums and collections museographic). BDNS (Identif.): First.-Beneficiaries: Local entities in the Principality of Asturias that own museums and museographic collections may apply for these subsidies. In the case of entities that own museums, they must also comply with the requirement of being up to date in the sending of the statistical data established in the Resolution of April 16, 2012 of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, which modified the Resolution of March 7, 1988, of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, which approves the statistical standards and information submission of Archives and Museums. (BOPA of May 9, 2012), report for the year 2025 and visitor data for the year 2025 as well as for the full months prior to the date of publication of the call. Second.-Purpose: Its purpose is to finance the expenses derived from the operation, carrying out activities and maintenance of museums and museographic collections owned by a Local Entity, whether managed directly by the requesting entity or by a dependent or participated body. A museum collection is understood to be those stable sets of cultural assets, which, without meeting all the requirements of museums, are exposed to the public for contemplation in a permanent and orderly manner, with regular, continuous or periodic opening hours; They are available to researchers; They have a detailed list and/or description of their funds and the basic measures to guarantee their custody and conservation. Regular, continuous or periodic opening hours are understood to be when the facility opens at pre-established hours, so that the appearance of potential visitors can take place at any time during the pre-established period and not upon request or request for a visit to the collection manager. Aid may only be requested within this program for the following concepts: a) Actions to be carried out during the year corresponding to each call, such as studies, exhibitions, publications, didactic and dissemination activities, digital resources, museological plans, security plans, etc., including personnel expenses inherent to their development. b) Documentation work (records, inventories and catalogs of collections), conservation and preventive conservation of the collections (excluding investment expenses), including personnel expenses inherent to their development. c) Operation and maintenance of museums and museographic collections, excluding ordinary personnel expenses. Expenses arising from the concepts of per diem, maintenance or protocol attention will not be eligible. Nor will personnel expenses not linked to the actions or work referred to in the preceding sections a) and b). Third.-Regulatory bases: Resolution of November 10, 2025, of the Ministry of Culture, Language Policy and Sports, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies from the Ministry of Culture, Language Policy and Sports to local entities of the Principality of Asturias. Fourth.-Amount: The total amount of the credit allocated to this line amounts to SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND EUROS (€75,000.00). Fifth.-Deadline for submitting applications: Fifteen calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias. Sixth.-Other data of interest. Eligible actions must be carried out between January 1 and December 31, 2026. The justification for carrying out the subsidized expense must be made before January 31, 2027.
