Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries. Any national and international artist. Second. Object. Promote artistic creativity in the intaglio engraving sector. Third. Regulatory bases. General Ordinance on Subsidies of the Provincial Council of Valladolid (B.O.P. of Valladolid of March 6, 2006). Room. Amount. 10,000 euros: 5,000 euros for the first prize; 3,000 euros for second prize, and 2,000 euros for third prize. Fifth. Application submission deadline. Until July 15, 2026, included. Sixth. Other information of interest. - Works: Each artist may present a single original work that must be made in the years 2025 or 2026, using the intaglio engraving system (with direct, indirect or additive techniques, or a combination of them), excluding digital printing. The works must be signed and numbered, so that the character of Original Graphic Work is accredited. Works that have been presented and awarded in other competitions will not be admitted. The paper size of each engraving will be a maximum of 76 x 112 cm, and a minimum of 54 x 75 cm. The image will be at least 45 X 35 cm. - Submission of the works: the authors of the selected works must send them duly protected to the Provincial Council of Valladolid within a maximum period that will end on September 10, 2026. - Assessment Criteria: a) Technique: technical composition, degree of perfection, system and method used. b) Composition c) Creativity d) Originality - Award of prizes: the President of the Provincial Council will award the prizes at the proposal of the Jury. The winning specimens will remain the property of the Provincial Council of Valladolid. - Exhibition and catalogue: all the selected works will be part of the exhibition that will be held in the Exhibition Hall of the Pimentel Palace of the Provincial Council of Valladolid. A catalog will be published with the selected works, of which a copy will be given to each of the selected artists. - Return: the selected and non-awarded works will be re-shipped with postage paid to the participants, within 30 days from the end of the exhibition.
