Official description of the call

Extract from the call: By Agreement of the Island Government Council, held in ordinary session on March 2, 2026, the “CALL FOR GRANTS FROM THE COUNCIL OF THE PRIMARY SECTOR, FOOD SOVEREIGNTY AND WATER SECURITY OF THE COUNCIL OF GRAN CANARIA FOR THE EXECUTION OF SANITARY, ENVIRONMENTAL AND FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS was approved AND AESTHETICS IN LIVESTOCK FARMINGS IN GRAN CANARIA 2026-2027026-2027”. Against the aforementioned agreement, as established in article 123.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, an optional appeal for reconsideration may be filed before the Island Government Council, within a period of one month from the day following its publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of LasPalmas. Likewise, the aforementioned agreement may be directly challenged by filing a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious Administrative Court of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, within a period of two months from the day following said publication, in accordance with the provisions of article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction. Recipient: Natural and legal persons or communities of property that are owners of livestock farms located in Gran Canaria. When the owner is a legal entity, it must have agricultural activity as its main activity, meaning that it obtains at least 50% of the income. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to regulate the procedure for granting subsidies under a competitive competition regime to livestock farms in Gran Canaria to subsidize part of the costs of executing works and facilities of a health, environmental, functional and aesthetic nature necessary for compliance with environmental legislation, as well as the animal welfare and hygiene standards that are applicable to the livestock farm, which are necessary to be able to proceed with the territorial and environmental legalization of the buildings and livestock facilities that are in operation. Regulatory Bases: General Ordinance of Subsidies of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria. Amount: 180,000.00 euros, of which €90,00.00 correspond to the year 2026 and €90,000.00 to the year 2027. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications will be ONE (1) MONTH, counting from the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas.
