Official description of the call
In accordance with the provisions of the General Subsidies Ordinance of this Provincial Council, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz No. 140 of June 18, 2004 and modification published in the B.O.P. No. 30, of February 14, 2006, there is a public call for subsidies in the field of Historical and Democratic Memory that will be awarded through competitive competition, and will be regulated by this call, governed in a supplementary manner by the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance and Law 38/2003, General of Subsidies. 1.- Object, purpose and conditions. The purpose of these rules is to regulate the public call for subsidies from the Provincial Council of Cádiz for the 2026 year, through an ordinary competitive competition procedure for the organization and/or carrying out of activities and/or actions in matters of Historical and Democratic Memory in the province of Cádiz. To this end, the purpose of this call is established to subsidize projects or activities related to Historical and Democratic Memory in the province of Cádiz, through non-profit entities. Eligible projects or activities must fall within the following: a) The construction of funerary works for the burial of cadaveric remains that have been previously exhumed from common graves. b) The installation of testimonial or explanatory elements in recognition of buildings, places and geographical spaces linked to Historical Memory, because some type of action or event had occurred in them in the period between the outbreak of the Civil War and the end of the dictatorship. c) The conditioning and restoration of buildings, facilities, places and geographical spaces linked to the Civil War or the subsequent political and social repression. d) Interventions in graves: - Historical investigation: documentary sources, bibliography, testimonies. - Georadar tracking. - Surveys, tastings. - Delimitation, location, exhumation. - Anthropological study. - Taking samples for DNA matching. - Burial ceremony. - Consolidation of place of memory. - Informative project. Pedagogy. e) Projects and actions to commemorate or honor people and events related to Historical and Democratic Memory in the province of Cádiz. f) Projects and actions that promote the dissemination and training in matters of Historical and Democratic Memory of the province of Cádiz. This may include, among others, the organization of forums, conferences, congresses, symposiums, seminars and temporary exhibitions, audiovisual products, publications, educational and artistic projects. g) The compilation, conservation, study and dissemination of written, oral, audiovisual (photographs, posters, sound recordings, films...) or intellectual (artistic, musical, literary manifestations...) documentary heritage, including projects aimed at cataloguing, inventorying and digitizing documentary collections from the Civil War and/or the dictatorship. h) Guidance and advice work for people or their families who could be victims of irregular situations committed during the period of the dictatorship. The subsidy awarded will be for a certain amount and can finance up to 100% of the cost of the subsidized activity without, in any case, exceeding the aid limit established in the third base. Each applicant entity may submit a maximum of one application, referring to a single project. The granting of this subsidy will be compatible with other public or private subsidies granted for the same purpose, provided that the total amount of aid does not exceed 100% of the cost of the activity being subsidized. They will be, in any case, incompatible with other subsidies granted by the Provincial Council of Cádiz for the same purpose. 2.- Regulatory framework.
