Official description of the call
First: Beneficiaries As many people as they wish may participate as individual or collective authors. Second: Object The Provincial Council of Seville calls the annual “ARCHIVO HISPALENSE” contest corresponding to the year 2026 to award four prizes and four second prizes to monographs on topics of History, Literature, Art and Social Sciences related to Seville and its province. Third: Regulatory Bases The Regulatory Bases of the aforementioned Contest are published in the Official Gazette of the Province, on the Electronic Board and the Transparency Portal of the Provincial Council of Seville. Fourth: Amount Each prize is worth €5,000.00 and its corresponding second prizes are worth €3,000.00 each (amounts to which the withholdings provided for in tax legislation will be applied). Fifth: Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting works will end on June 26, 2026. Sixth: Others The works must be submitted together with an application containing the title and express indication of the name and contact information (address, telephone number and email) and brief resume of the author, indicating the section attended: History, Literature, Art or Social Sciences, and accompanied, in addition, by a supporting sheet of the chosen topic, according to the reason of its content. The name of the work director, if any, will be stated. The works together with the application will be delivered to the General Registry of the Provincial Council of Seville, Area of Culture and Citizenship, with the following heading: "For the ARCHIVO HISPALENSE 2026 monograph competition". Those sent by certified mail must have the following address: Provincial Council of Seville, Archive and Publications Service, Avda. Menéndez Pelayo, 32; 41071 Seville and with the same indications as those presented directly.
