Extract from the agreement of April 10, 2026 of the Local Government Board of the City Council of Cádiz, which approves the CALL AND RULES OF THE IBERO-AMERICAN CORTES DE CÁDIZ AWARDS 2026 - XIV CORTES DE CÁDIZ STORY AWARDS. FIRST. Beneficiaries. People of any nationality who meet the following requirements may participate in this contest: - Be over 18 years of age on the day of submission of the application. - Be up to date with compliance with your tax and Social Security obligations and not be indebted to the Cádiz City Council for any reason. - Those who have already received any of the Ibero-American Cortes de Cádiz Awards, in any of their categories in previous editions, will not be eligible for the award. Nor will an author who died prior to the presentation of the work be eligible for this award. SECOND. Object and Purpose. The Cortes de Cádiz Ibero-American Awards are convened by the Hon. Cádiz City Council to commemorate the first liberal Constitution that was promulgated in the city of Cádiz on March 19, 1812. In the years prior to the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the Constitution of 1812, the Hon. Cádiz City Council created the Cortes de Cádiz Awards to commemorate the first Constitution in Spanish that was a model for other Ibero-American constitutions. With the 14th edition of the Relatos Cortes de Cádiz Award, the Hon. Cádiz City Council seeks to stimulate literary creation on Ibero-American themes. Participants will be able to present a collection of short stories written in Spanish, at least four. The resulting collection of short stories will be between 100 and 150 pages, including titles, in DIN A-4 format. No images or drawings of any kind will be incorporated, and the author's name may not be included in the document of the stories. Likewise, they will be original and unpublished creations, that is, they must not have been published in any medium or support (paper, blogs, electronic publications, etc.), with the participant responding to the Hon. Cádiz City Council of the authorship and originality of the story, and assuming full responsibility towards third parties. Each participant can only submit one collection of stories. It must be an original and unpublished work, which has not been published in any medium or support, nor presented or awarded in any other contest or contest. THIRD. Regulatory Bases. CALL AND RULES FOR THE IBERO-AMERICAN CORTES DE CÁDIZ AWARDS 2026 - XIV CORTES DE CÁDIZ STORY AWARD, approved by the Local Government Board on April 10, 2026. These subsidies will be governed by the provisions of their regulatory bases; in the execution bases of the budget of the Cádiz City Council for the financial year 2026; in Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies; in the General Regulations of the Subsidies Law approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21; in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, in the General Ordinance of Subsidies of the City Council of Cádiz and in the remaining regulations that may be applicable. ROOM. Amount. The budget allocation for the call amounts to TEN THOUSAND EUROS (€10,000.00). FIFTH. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting candidatures will be THIRTY CALENDAR DAYS, counted from the day following the publication of this extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz.
