Extract from the agreement of April 10, 2026 of the Local Government Board of the City Council of Cádiz, which approves the CALL AND RULES OF THE IBERO-AMERICAN CORTES DE CÁDIZ 2026 AWARDS - II AWARD OF THE SEAS AND OCEANS. FIRST. Beneficiaries. People of any nationality who meet the following requirements may participate in this contest: - Be over 18 years of age on the day of submission of the application. - Be up to date with compliance with your tax and Social Security obligations and not be indebted to the Cádiz City Council for any reason. - Those who have already received any of the Ibero-American Cortes de Cádiz Awards, in any of their categories in previous editions, will not be eligible for the award. - A person who died prior to the presentation of the work will not be eligible for this award. SECOND. Object and Purpose. The Hon. Cádiz City Council, in collaboration with the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz, convene the II Ibero-American Cortes de Cádiz Prize for the Seas and Oceans to commemorate the first liberal Constitution that was promulgated in the city of Cádiz on March 19, 1812. With the second edition of the Cortes de Cádiz Prize for the Seas and Oceans, the Hon. The purpose of the Cádiz City Council and the Port Authority of the Bay of Cádiz is to recognize and reward a written or audiovisual work that stands out for its relevant contribution to the knowledge, protection, conservation or sustainable development of the seas and oceans. The Award aims to encourage reflection, research, creation and dissemination around marine ecosystems, their biodiversity, their role as sustainable economic drivers and their strategic relevance in the fight against climate change, promoting innovative solutions that guarantee their preservation for future generations. Works may compete: Written (essay, research, informative or literary non-fiction work). ? Audiovisuals (documentary, film production or multimedia project). The works must be original. In the case of written works, they must be written in Spanish. In the case of audiovisual works, they may be presented in any of the official languages of the State, subtitled in Spanish. Each participant may present only one work. The works must be original and unpublished, they will not have been published in any medium or support, they will not infringe the rights of third parties and they will not have been presented or awarded in other contests. THIRD. Regulatory Bases. CALL AND RULES FOR THE IBERO-AMERICAN AWARDS CORTES DE CÁDIZ 2026 - II AWARD OF THE SEAS AND OCEANS., approved by the Local Government Board on April 10, 2026. These subsidies will be governed by the provisions of their regulatory bases; in the execution bases of the budget of the Cádiz City Council for the financial year 2026; in Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies; in the General Regulations of the Subsidies Law approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21; in Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, in the General Ordinance of Subsidies of the City Council of Cádiz and in the remaining regulations that may be applicable. ROOM. Amount. The budget allocation for the call amounts to TEN THOUSAND EUROS (€10,000.00). FIFTH. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting candidatures will be THIRTY CALENDAR DAYS, counted from the day following the publication of this extract of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz.
