Official description of the call
BDNS: In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3) and 20.8.a) of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans) and on the institutional website of the Community of Madrid (www.comunidad.madrid). First. Object. By Order 1740/2026, of April 26, of the Minister of Education, Science and Universities, scholarships for academic sports excellence are announced with four lines of aid: 1- Shift for students new to university. 2- Shift for new students in higher artistic education centers. 3- Shift for students already enrolled in the university. 4- Shift for students already enrolled in higher centers of artistic education. This extract refers to the shift of new students at the university, whose objective is to facilitate the development of university studies of students with excellent academic-sports performance. Second. Number of scholarships awarded. A total of 125 study scholarships are being called for students with excellent academic achievement in sports corresponding to the 2025-2026 academic year, of which 38 are reserved for students new to the university. Third. Beneficiaries. Students who, meeting the established requirements, are enrolled, in the 2025-2026 academic year, in official courses at a university in the Community of Madrid or in a center attached to it and whose headquarters are in the Community of Madrid, may be beneficiaries of this line of aid. Room. Regulatory bases. The regulatory bases are included in Order 1890/2024 of April 30, of the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities, which approves the regulatory bases for scholarships for academic excellence and scholarships for academic-sports excellence to pursue studies in universities and higher centers of artistic education in the Community of Madrid, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid on May 20, 2024 and by Order 1451/2026, of April 14, of the Ministry of Education, Science and Universities, which modifies the sports requirements included in Order 1890/2024, of April 30, published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid of April 24, 2026. Fifth. Scoring criteria. The scholarships from this line of aid will be awarded based on the academic score obtained until all the credit allocated to the call has been exhausted. The minimum average grade necessary to apply for the excellence scholarships for the new university admission period will be 10,800 points. Sixth. Amount. The total amount allocated to this call is 262,500 euros, with the credit reserved for this line of aid being 79,800 euros. The individual amount of each scholarship is 2,100 euros. Seventh. Application submission deadline. The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days and will begin counting on the day following the publication of the extract of the call order in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. The application model will be available on the web pages: https://www.comunidad.madrid/servicios/administracion-digital-punto-acceso-general and will be mandatory for interested parties.
