Extract from Resolution 2026-1075, dated May 27, 2026, which calls for the XXV edition of the “Villa de Tauste” Painting Contest. FIRST. - BENEFICIARIES: The following will have the right to participate in this contest: a) All natural persons, of legal age, Aragonese or residents of Aragon. b) Each author may participate with a maximum of two works with a free theme and technique. The works must not have been awarded in previous competitions with similar characteristics. Works submitted prior to this Contest will not be admitted, nor will works that win two consecutive years in said call. c) Not be subject to any of the prohibitions established in Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies and Law 5/2015 on Subsidies of Aragon and be up to date with tax and Social Security obligations, as well as with the Tauste City Council. SECOND. - OBJECT: The purpose of this call is to promote art and artistic creation, granting a prize to the best works, with the purpose of promoting, encouraging and disseminating talent and originality in this sector. THIRD. - REGULATORY BASES: The regulatory bases applicable to this procedure are established in the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Tauste City Council, published in BOP number 54, dated March 7, 2024 and in this call. ROOM. - AMOUNT: The Contest prize will be processed on a competitive basis, establishing a priority for the works presented in accordance with the established evaluation criteria. The Hon. Tauste City Council will appoint a commission of people linked to art, who will select the works that participate in this Contest. For this purpose, there is adequate and sufficient budget allocation in the 2026 budget of the Tauste City Council, in budget application 2026.3300.489000 for the amount of 600 euros and budget application 2026.3300.625001 for the amount of 3,000 euros. The corresponding personal income tax will be deducted from these amounts. The winner of the Contest will commit to holding an exhibition in the edition of the Pinta art exhibition, to be held the year after the edition of the Painting Contest. FIFTH. - SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS: People who apply for the XXV “Villa de Tauste” Painting Contest will have to follow the instructions and provide the documentation detailed below: Each artist may submit a maximum of two works with a free theme and technique, whose format will be between the following measurements: 92 x 73 cm. (minimum) and 146 x 114 cm. (maximum). The works must be framed with a simple ribbon. The works will be unsigned, otherwise they will not be admitted. For identification, each work will be accompanied by a separate envelope, inside which the author's information will appear: full name, telephone number, postal and electronic address, and author's history. In no case will work with any identifying element on the front and back be accepted. The period for submitting applications and receiving the works will be from October 13 to October 21, 2026. The submitted works may be delivered personally, or sent by transport agency to the following address: Casa de Cultura. Plaza de Aragón, s/n 50660 Tauste (Zaragoza), on business days from October 13 to 21, 2026, except Saturdays and holidays. Transportation, both for delivery and removal of works, will be the responsibility of the participant, as well as any deterioration that the works may suffer during the same. During the course of the Contest, the organization will take the utmost care in the conservation of the works, but is not responsible for possible damages. SIXTH. - CONDITIONS, COPYRIGHT AND ADVERTISING. Failure to comply with the established rules will be sufficient reason to exclude the work from the contest.
