1.- PURPOSE OF THE CALL The convening institution intends to promote and encourage plastic creation, within the objectives of its Culture Area, committed to the promotion and dissemination of cultural activity, while promoting new values ​​in the field of Comics in its Graphic Novel format. 2.- RECIPIENTS All those who wish, of any nationality or residence, over 18 years of age, who are up to date with payments with Social Security, State Treasury and the Provincial Council of Cáceres, may participate in this call. 3.- CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORK. The works eligible for the award must be sent on paper, either in person or by certified mail, to the following address: PROVINCIAL DIPUTACIÓN DE CÁCERES. III Graphic Novel Award Plaza de Santa María s/n.10003 CÁCERES Projects sent by email or on media other than printed paper will not be accepted (submissions on CD, DVD, pen drives or similar are therefore excluded). The following documentation must be provided: - Synopsis of the complete work with a maximum length of two A4 size pages on one side. - Proposal or sample of the work with a minimum of 8 pages on one side. Said proposal may be submitted in black and white or color, printed on A4 size paper on one side, duly paginated and will include the title of the complete work, taking into account that if it is a winner, it will have a final length of a minimum of 100 pages in A4 format. - Information about the author(s): name, surname, address, telephone number, email address and resume. -The subject of the works will be free, and they must be written exclusively in Spanish. Likewise, they must be original and unpublished works that have not been previously awarded. -The works presented must be free of rights that may be held by third parties, with the Provincial Council of Cáceres considered exempt from all liability in the event of litigation or discussion that may arise from it. Works submitted that do not meet the above requirements will not be admitted to the competition. 4.- DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF WORK. The participation period begins on the day following the publication of the extract of this call in the BOP, and ends on October 16, 2026. The Provincial Council of Cáceres reserves the right to extend these deadlines if it deems it appropriate. 5.- FINANCING AND PROTECTION OF THE PRIZE The Prize will be single and indivisible, with an amount of €4,500 that will be paid after communication of the ruling. The Prize will be financed from budget application 5.3340.48701 (Competitions, awards), from the budget of the Excma. Provincial Council of Cáceres for the year 2026, for the amount of €4,500.00. The tax withholding established by current legislation will be applied to these amounts. 6.- WINNING WORK The winning author will undertake to deliver the complete work before March 31, 2027 and also undertakes to design the promotional poster for the next edition of the Contest. The Prize entails the publication of the work in Spanish by the Provincial Council of Cáceres, which will entail the author's exclusive transfer of the rights for this purpose for a period of five years. The possibility of signing a distribution contract for the work with an external publisher is proposed, the conditions of which will be negotiated at the time between it and the author.
