PUBLIC CALL FOR GRANTS TO NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION PROJECTS 2026

Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Non-governmental development organizations, registered in the Registry of Cooperation Agents of Castilla y León that are going to directly execute the project with which they participate in the call, or that preferably act on behalf of a local partner that is in charge of carrying it out. In any case, the local partner must be another NGO or private non-profit organization in the partner countries, or be a public entity (municipality or other entity subject to public law). Those Entities associated with International Public Law Organizations created by Treaty or International Agreement (International Organizations of the United Nations system) may also attend. The ONGD must have an open headquarters or permanent delegation in the municipality of Valladolid, one year prior to the publication of this call; be registered in the Registry of citizen entities of the Valladolid City Council (formerly the Municipal Registry of Associations) and in the registry of Development Cooperation Agents of Castilla y León, must have a justified active presence in Valladolid. Furthermore, its main purposes must include carrying out development cooperation activities and promoting solidarity between peoples and it must have experience of at least three years prior to the date of publication of the call, in the field of cooperation and in the execution of development projects. Second. Purpose: Financing of development cooperation actions that seek to improve the quality of life and sustainable human development in impoverished countries through the financing of development cooperation actions, in alignment with the 2030 agenda for sustainable development and the SDGs. The purpose of the subsidy will be to contribute to sustainable human development, the eradication of poverty and inequalities, the guarantee of human rights, gender equality, environmental sustainability, social and territorial cohesion, democratic governance and the provision of basic services in partner countries and territories, in coherence with Agenda 2030, Law 1/2023 and the current Development Cooperation Plan of the Valladolid City Council. Projects whose actions are carried out from January 1, 2026 to June 1, 2027 will be subsidized. Third. Regulatory Bases: The regulatory bases of the call are published on the electronic headquarters of the Valladolid city council (https://www.valladolid.gob.es/es/tablon-oficial/ayuntamiento-valladolid/ayudas-subvenciones) Fourth. Amount: The total amount of the call is 391,000.00. The credit assigned to this Call may be modified with an additional amount depending on the quality and number of the projects presented, up to a maximum of €591,000.00, prior to the appropriate processing and before the last resolution of the Call, being allocated exclusively to the resolution of applications submitted within the submission deadline provided for in the Call, without this implying a new submission deadline or start or new calculation to resolve. The effectiveness of the additional amount will be conditional on the declaration of availability of the credit in the terms of section 2 b) of the aforementioned article. The maximum amount of the subsidy to be granted per project financed in this call will be €50,000. The maximum amount of projects for which financing will be requested will be €62,500 Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting projects will be one month from the day following the date of publication of an extract of this call in the Official Gazette of the Province. In the event that the last day of the period is a non-business day, it will be deemed extended to the first business day following Sixth. Other information: The application must be accompanied by the documentation listed in Base 9 regarding the requesting NGDO, the counterpart or local partner and the Project to be subsidized. A single advance payment of 100% of the subsidy awarded will be paid, freeing the subsidized entities from establishing guarantees.
