1. **Object of the subsidy** Financial benefits aimed at covering expenses intended to cover basic family needs constitute one of the fundamental elements of social inclusion, in addition to responding to a subjective right of citizens. Being aware that the birth or adoption of a boy or girl entails initial expenses that families must face, the Palmera City Council wants to help families who have sons or daughters by birth or adoption by launching the Baby Check program. Considering the above, the purpose of these bases is to grant aid to cover maintenance expenses directly linked to the birth or adoption of a child. The granting of these aids will be carried out through the non-competitive competition regime. 2. **Financing** For the granting of the aid called, the amount of 1,600.00 euros is allocated, which will be financed from application 231 480 01 of the statement of expenses of the municipal budget for the year 2026. This credit may be increased in the event that it is insufficient to meet all the applications submitted that meet the requirements established in these bases. 3. **Amounts** The amount of aid will be 400.00 euros for each child born or adopted, until the available credit is exhausted, without more than one aid being requested for this concept for each birth or adoption. 4. **Beneficiaries and requirements** The beneficiaries will be mothers or fathers who have a son/daughter or adopt a son/daughter under 2 years of age, as well as guardians with parental authority or guardianship in the event of the death of the parents and who meet the following requirements: ➢ That the birth or adoption takes place between 01/01/2026 and 12/31/202. ➢ That the beneficiary is registered in Palmera and maintains the registration for at least one year from the date of granting the subsidy, initiating the refund procedure if it is not fulfilled (it will be verified ex officio). ➢ That the child is registered at the address of the applicant at the time of the application (it will be verified ex officio). ➢ Only one beneficiary per child. 5. **Application and documentation** The presentation of the aid application presumes unconditional acceptance of the bases of the call and the conditions, requirements and duties contained therein. The following documentation will be attached to the application: ➢ Photocopy of the DNI or residence card of the applicant. ➢ Photocopy of the Family Book or birth certificate or authenticated copy of the judicial resolution of the adoption. ➢ Responsible declaration that you meet the requirements to access this aid and that you are up to date with your tax obligations, with Social Security and with the City Council, as well as that you are not in any cause that prevents you from obtaining the status of beneficiary according to article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17. ➢ Bank details of the applicant. 6. **Submission period** The application submission period begins the day following the publication of the extract of the call in the BOP of Valencia and will end on January 5, 2027. 7. **Instruction body** The authority to investigate the procedure will correspond to the AEDL and the Secretary of the Corporation.
