Call for the procedure for granting aid by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology, F.S.P., for the promotion of scientific culture and innovation 2026

Official description of the call

First. Application regulations and concession regime: The granting of the FECYT aid provided for in this call will be governed by the provisions of the regulatory bases, approved by Order CIN/1286/2022, of December 17, by the provisions of this call, Law 50/2002, of December 26, on Foundations and the Statutes of the FECYT, Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, and its Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21. Additionally, Law 19/2013, of November 9, on transparency, access to public information and good governance and Law 40/2015, of October 1, on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector, and Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, will apply. Second. Purpose: Regulate the procedure for granting FECYT aid for carrying out activities to promote scientific culture and innovation 2026, which are developed through the following categories of projects: a. Social communication projects of science, technology and innovation b. Annual program of UCC+I activities c. Science fairs d. Singular projects: Citizen Science Art, Science, Technology and Society (ACTS) Trio of Eclipses Third. Applicants and beneficiaries: The entities indicated in article 4 of the Call with their own legal personality may be applicants and beneficiaries of the aid, provided that they are validly incorporated and have tax residence or permanent establishment in Spain. Room. Budget of the call: The maximum global amount that will be estimated to be allocated for the granting of the aid provided for in this call is 5,300,000 euros, charged to the 2026 budget of the activities to promote scientific culture of the FECYT. Fifth. Maximum budget allocation: Aid will be granted up to a maximum amount of seventy percent of the total cost of the actions that are the subject of the application submitted, with a limit of 100,000 euros per application submitted. Sixth. Deadline: The deadline for submitting aid applications will begin on July 1, 2026 and will end on September 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time). Once the request has been made final by the person responsible for the action, the documents must be electronically signed by the legal representative of the requesting entity. The electronic signature of the form and the rest of the documentation may be carried out throughout the application submission period and applications will only be deemed duly submitted when they have been signed electronically by the legal representative of the requesting entity before the end of said period. Any application not signed electronically by the legal representative or legal representatives at the time of the closing of the application submission period will be understood as not submitted. Seventh. Resolution body: The Governing Board of the FECYT, by delegation of the Board of Trustees dated June 22, 2026, prior authorization from the competent body of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, in accordance with the provisions of the Sixteenth Additional Provision of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies.
