Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: The recipients of this call are the students of the University of Valencia enrolled in the 2023-2024 academic year in the last year of their Bachelor's studies, as well as those enrolled in the first year of their official Master's studies, who meet the requirements established in the regulatory bases. Second. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to promote the initiation into research tasks of students of the University of Valencia who are completing their undergraduate studies or who are taking the first year of official university master's degrees, through the allocation of financial aid that allows them to begin research tasks, linked to the studies they are pursuing, to train in research skills and to facilitate their future professional and/or research orientation. This training will have to be developed through the involvement of the applicants in specific actions within a research that is already being carried out in a department, institute or ERI of the University of Valencia. Third. Regulatory bases: The complete bases can be consulted on the website [https://ir.uv.es/FI2Bgc7] Fourth. Amount: The maximum total budget authorized for this call amounts to 60,000 euros. The financial award for each scholarship is 1,000 euros. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting applications is from October 2 to 25, 2023. Sixth. Other information: Candidates must present a document describing the research collaboration proposal, which meets the objectives of this call. The collaboration must be developed within one of the lines or research projects underway in the departments, in their own institutes, inter-university institutes, mixed institutes or in the interdisciplinary research structures (ERIs) of the University of Valencia. The proposal must also describe the tasks to be carried out, the name of the research staff who will supervise the development of the collaboration tasks to be carried out by the student and the description, expressly, of the complementary training impact that their development will have on some of the competencies associated with the mandatory subjects of the degree that the student is taking and an outline of the dedication to collaboration, in accordance with the rules of the call. The actions financed by this aid must be carried out between the date of acceptance of the aid and until August 31, 2024, with a total dedication of 225 hours.
