Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries Natural or legal persons, groups of natural or legal persons, communities of property or any other type of economic unit or separate property without legal personality who are owners of a horticultural agricultural holding, registered in the Insular Agrarian Registry (RIA), which has been affected by the damage caused by stone and inclement weather during the months of August and September 2022, may be beneficiaries of this aid. fruit and vegetable farming, the agricultural holding with more than 50% of the income of which comes from the sale of fruits or vegetables produced on the holding itself. Second. Purpose The purpose of the call for de minimis aid is to establish compensation for the owners of agricultural holdings that were affected by the unique hailstorms that affected Menorca in the months of August and September 2022, since the damage caused by this phenomenon has endangered the viability of the holding. Compensation to the owners of the holdings will be proportional to the damages suffered and will be based on the justified expenses between August 18, 2022 until the day the request is submitted. Third. Regulatory bases The call will be governed by the bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca in an ordinary session on 06.11.2023. Room. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €200,000 (two hundred thousand euros). Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications is 15 calendar days from the day after the call has been published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB). Sixth. Other data. These aids are granted in accordance with EU Regulation no. Commission Regulation 408/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid in the agricultural sector (Official Journal of the European Union no. L352 of 24 December 2013), amended by EU Regulation no. 2019/316 of the Commission, of February 21, 2019. The maximum amount of the aid will be 80% of the losses caused by the hailstorm and inclement weather in the months of August and September 2022. In any case, the maximum amount per operation may not exceed the amount of €10,000 and the final beneficiary of the aid will not be able to receive, in the last three fiscal years, public aid or of private entities financed from public budgets as de minimis in the primary production of agricultural products for an amount greater than 20,000 euros.
