Official description of the call
First. Beneficiaries: Participants: According to Modality: ARCHITECTURE: Natural or legal persons, public or private, for-profit or non-profit organizations, commercial companies, as well as professionals from the world of Architecture who, between October 10, 2022 and April 30, 2024, had carried out an intervention specific to this discipline, Architecture, in the municipality of Alcalá de Henares. The works will only be sent by email to the address: Premiocalcala@ayto-alcaladenenares.es, indicating in the subject: Opt for the Ciudad de Alcalá Architecture Prize 2024. VISUAL ARTS: All people who wish to do so, in their capacity as plastic and visual artists, who present an original and unpublished work. Each artist may present only one original work of his own, with a free theme, in any of the following artistic languages: painting, sculpture, installations, mixed disciplines or any other artistic manifestation, with the exception of performances, happenings or other pieces of an ephemeral nature, which are discarded. The works will only be sent by email to the address: pcaartesvisuales@ayto-alcaladenenares.es, indicating in the subject: Opt for the Ciudad de Alcalá Prize for Visual Arts 2024. PHOTOGRAPHY: All people who are dedicated to photographic creation and who, not having been awarded in previous editions in this modality, present an original and unpublished work in the fields: 1. Photojournalism-documentary. 2. Architecture and Heritage. 3. Conceptual photography. Each applicant must unequivocally specify the area in which their work is eligible for the Prize, and may not submit more than one work in each edition. The works will be sent, together with the registration form, only by email to the address: pcafotografia@ayto-alcaladenenares.es, indicating in the subject: Opt for the Ciudad de Alcalá Photography Award 2024 in the field of * (* to which you opt). HISTORICAL RESEARCH “FRANCISCO JAVIER GARCÍA GUTIÉRREZ”: All people who, having authored historical research works and have not been awarded in previous editions in this modality, present their work on any aspect of history related to Alcalá de Henares, its surroundings and its inhabitants, from any time, with the sociological, political, cultural, literary, scientific, etc. events that have occurred there and with any aspect of reality. current situation of the City addressed from the geographical, sociological, cultural, etc. point of view. All people who write in the Spanish language and who present a historical research work with the characteristics described, in any case, completely unpublished, may compete. The works will only be sent by email to the address: Premiocalcala@ayto-alcaladenenares.es, indicating in the subject: Opt for the Ciudad de Alcalá Prize for Historical Research 2024. NARRATIVE, OR HISTORICAL NOVEL: All people with authorship of narrative texts who, not having been awarded in previous editions in this modality, present novels, with the characteristics reflected in these bases. They must write in Spanish and present a book of their own, completely unpublished, containing a novel and not being able to submit more than one work to this candidacy. The works will only be sent by email to the address: Premiocalcala@ayto-alcaladenenares.es, indicating in the subject: Opt for the Ciudad de Alcalá Narrative Award 2024. WORLD HERITAGE CITY: Natural or legal persons who have not been awarded in previous editions in this modality and who, in the opinion of those who propose them, have stood out for their relevant performance in the recovery, rehabilitation, conservation, preservation and reconstruction, as well as the enhancement, study and dissemination of World Heritage, both natural and cultural, material or immaterial, tangible or intangible, in such a way that its work is worthy of public recognition. Any natural or legal person, associations, academies, cultural and research centers, public administrations and bodies dependent on them, universities and other institutions may submit candidatures for third parties to qualify for this Award, through a reasoned proposal.
