Official description of the call
The Urkabustaiz City Council publishes the call for scholarships to help study Basque for the 2023-2024 academic year. PURPOSE: The granting of financial aid aimed at financing Basque study activities. BENEFICIARIES: All interested persons, registered in the municipality of Urkabustaiz, over 16 years of age. Each person can apply for as many scholarships as there are courses and internships they take (October-February, February-June, October-June, summer, July or September and internships), however, each course will only be subsidized once. Those who have been sanctioned for the infractions referred to in Title IV of Law 38/2003 General on Subsidies, of November 17, will not be able to access the subsidies. ELIGIBLE ACTIVITY: Expenses derived from registration for learning Basque. Travel expenses, as well as maintenance and accommodation in the case of boarding schools, are excluded. ENDOWMENT AND ACCRUATION OF SCHOLARSHIPS: A scholarship amount is established up to a maximum of 80% of the tuition cost for parad@s and students (official studies) and a maximum of 50% of the tuition cost for non-parad@s or students, depending on the applications and the budget item. In any case, a maximum eligible amount of THREE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EUROS (€350.00) is established. The amount will be studied based on the requests made and the allocation of the budget item. In the event that, taking into account the established maximum amounts, the appropriate awards have been made and the budget item is not exhausted, the remaining amount will be distributed among the applications that meet all the requirements, always having the expense incurred by the applicant as a limit. APPLICATIONS AND DOCUMENTATION TO BE PROVIDED: Applications must meet the requirements established in the administrative procedure rules and will be carried out in a standardized model established for this purpose, and must be accompanied by the following documents: a) Official instance issued by the City Council. b) Proof from the Euskaltegi or center where the course was taken, indicating: course started and course completed, number of total hours of the course and number of hours taken by the student (minimum 80% attendance), start and end dates of the course and total cost of the course. In the case of boarding schools, the teaching expenses must be broken down from those of maintenance and accommodation. c) Proof of payment of registration from a bank. d) Sworn declaration referring to the obtaining or not of other subsidies or aid for the same purpose from any Administration, organization or public entities. If any other subsidy has been obtained, the amount received and the granting Administration must be indicated, and proof must also be presented that certifies the veracity of said data. e) Unemployed: Updated LANBIDE unemployment card. f) Students: Photocopy of the registration for the 2023 - 2024 course issued by the corresponding Teaching Center (official studies only). SUBMISSION AND DEADLINES: Scholarship applications, together with the documentation indicated above, must be submitted to the Entry Registry of the Urkabustaiz City Council, or by any of the means indicated in article 38 of Law 30/1992, of November 26, on the Legal Regime of Public Administrations and the Common Administrative Procedure (hereinafter LRJAP-PAC), with the deadline for submitting applications established until December 30. OCTOBER 2024. The submission of applications to qualify for these subsidies entails the express and formal acceptance of what is established in these rules. STUDY AND RESOLUTION OF APPLICATIONS: The granting of subsidies will be carried out by the Mayor – President of the Corporation, following a technical report from the administrative unit responsible for Basque language (Basque language technician) and on a proposal, where appropriate, from the Culture Commission.
