Official description of the call
Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment Extract from the Resolution of July 17, 2024 of the Department of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, which calls for, for 2024, subsidies to promote Valencian in the field of private media and publications and news agencies. In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database. First. Beneficiary entities: Private companies that own any media or publication and commercial companies that own news agencies that appear in article 4 of the basic order corresponding to the modalities indicated in the first resolution. Second. Purpose To call for the granting of subsidies, on a competitive basis, for the promotion, encouragement and use of Valencian in the field of social media, in the following programs, categories, and modalities: 1. Program A: entirely in Valencian. i) Category of media: television, radio, non-daily written press and online media. ii) Category of publications: the types of periodical paper magazines and children's and youth magazines. 2. Program B: partially in Valencian. i) Category of media: the forms of television, radio and daily written press ii) Category of news agencies. Third. Regulatory bases Order 6/2021, of February 22, of the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, by which the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at promoting Valencian language in the field of private media and publications and news agencies were approved (DOGV no. 9028, of 02.25.2021). An error correction was subsequently published in DOGV No. 9044, dated 03/18/2021. Room. Amount The maximum global amount of subsidies is 2,279,000 euros. The amount of the aid will be financed from line S0439, "Aid for broadcasting in Valencian in social media", from chapter IV of subprogram 422D00, of the 2024 budget of the Generalitat. Programs, categories and modalities and economic distribution The aid is aimed at subsidizing the following programs, categories and modalities, with the credit distribution described: 1. Program A: entirely in Valencian. Media category. Modalities: - Television: 250,000 euros. - Radio: 45,000 euros. - Non-daily written press: 260,000 euros. - Online media: 750,000 euros. Post category. Modalities: - Periodical paper magazines: 45,000 euros. - Children's and youth magazines: 45,000 euros. 2. Program B: partially in Valencian. Media category. Modalities: - Television: 250,000 euros. - Radio: 410,000 euros. - Daily written press: 184,000 euros. News agencies category: 40,000 euros Fifth.
