Universitat Jaume I Extract from the Resolution Castellón de la Plana, July 16, 2024, of the Vice-Rector for Research of the Universitat Jaume I of Castellón, which calls for aid to carry out international research stays for theses that qualify for the “international mention” aimed at doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the Universitat Jaume I - 2024. BDNS (775730): In accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies, the extract of the call is published, the full text of which can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database: http://www.pap.minhap.gob.es/bdnstrans/index First. Beneficiaries 1. Doctoral students from the Universitat Jaume I who meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of this aid: a) Doctoral students with formal registration in the 2023/2024 academic year who have not started the thesis quality evaluation process at the time of requesting the aid. They will have to be completing the second or subsequent years of their studies and have obtained a favorable evaluation in the 2023/2024 academic year. b) The applicant must prove knowledge of a level B1 or higher of the foreign language of the destination country or of English as a vehicular language. In the case of stays in centers located in Spanish-speaking countries, it will be verified that the applicant has Spanish nationality or nationality from a Spanish-speaking country or, if not, that he or she has an official certificate proving knowledge of Spanish. 2. Persons or entities in which any of the following circumstances apply cannot achieve the status of beneficiaries: a) These grants cannot be requested if the doctoral student has already carried out research stays in foreign centers equal to or greater than three months, and they are accredited in their doctoral academic record. b) The aid cannot be requested to carry out stays in the country of nationality of the applicant, nor in the country of habitual residence. In case of doubt, the Doctoral School may request supporting documentation. In case of dual nationality, both countries will be taken into account. c) Applications from people who have outstanding financial debts with the Unviersitat Jaume I on the deadline for submitting applications will be excluded from the call. Second. Purpose The purpose of these rules, within the general framework of current regulations, is to regulate the granting of aid to stimulate the completion of doctoral theses with an international doctorate mention. With this objective, these grants will be used to partially cover the expenses associated with the stay of the doctoral student in a higher education or research center of recognized prestige in a foreign country to carry out research work and training activities with the aim of aspiring to the mention of international doctor in their doctoral degree. Third. Regulatory bases Accessible in:. http://www.uji.es/seu/info-adm/tao/ Fourth. Amount The global amount allocated to the granting of these prizes is €22,500. Fifth. Application submission deadline Applications, addressed to the Doctoral School, will be submitted through the electronic registry of the Universitat Jaume I or by any of the procedures established in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015 within a period of ten days counting from the day following the publication of this call on the Official Notice Board of the Universitat Jaume I (TAO-UJI) and the standardized forms must be attached.
