1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION The purpose of this call is to develop the general procedure for the concurrency granting of 14 ACCOMMODATION SCHOLARSHIPS and 14 TRANSPORTATION SCHOLARSHIPS for young people registered in Alcázar de San Juan who, for reasons of university degree studies, have to move and/or reside outside our town during the 2024/2025 university year. 2. LEGAL REGIME The legal regime applicable to this call will be determined by what is provided in these bases, in Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies; by the remaining rules of Administrative Law, and failing that, by the rules of private law. 3. BENEFICIARIES OF THE AID To be beneficiaries of the aid regulated in these bases, the following requirements must be met, all of which must be maintained until the end of the procedure: a) Be Spanish or a foreigner registered in Alcázar de San Juan and EATIM de Cinco Casas, the student and at least one of his or her parents with a minimum of two years' experience. b) All members of the family unit will be up to date with payments. c) Applicants must comply with the requirements established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies and must comply with the applications and documents required in these bases within the deadlines established in the call. d) Be 18 years of age as of December 31, 2024. e) Be enrolled with a minimum of 50 credits in any university course, in any of the Faculties of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and/or in any university course that is not offered in the Faculties of the University of Castilla-La Mancha. f) The result of the economic calculation must be less than the following amounts: NUMBER OF MEMBERS FAMILY UNIT INCOME Families of 1 member €15,417.00 Families of 2 members €22,694.00 Families of 3 members €30,768.00 Families of 4 members €36,521.00 Families of 5 members €40,808.00 Families of 6 members €44,045.00 Families of 7 members €47,145.00 Families of 8 members €50,433.00 For the purposes of economic calculation, it will be the result of the sum of the gross income of the family unit corresponding to the immediately preceding financial year, according to the number of members and 3% of the value of the assets of the members of the family unit, excluding habitual residence. The income of the main breadwinners of the applicant will count at 100%. Those of the rest of the members of the family unit, including the applicant, at 50%. g) Not be a beneficiary of the scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports for residency for the 2024/2025 academic year (recipients of tuition assistance will be admitted). h) Not receive any other university accommodation aid. i) Students with accommodation in public and/or private residences will receive aid corresponding to the proportional part of the cost of the accommodation service, excluding the cost of maintenance. j) Master's students will not be able to request help in this call. 4. DEDUCTIONS FROM FAMILY INCOME a) Large family: a.1 General category: €525 for each sibling who lives in the family home, including the applicant. a.2. Special category: €800, provided you are entitled to this benefit. b) Disability: The deduction will be in relation to the degree of disability recognized by the person or a member of the family unit, being additive. b.1. Equal or greater than 75%…………….€3,800 b. 2.Equal or greater than 65%.............. €2,800 b.3. Equal or greater 33%............. €1,800 c) Age: Under 25 years of age For each brother/sister who is a university student residing outside the family home….€1,200. 5. BUDGET OF THE CALL AND BUDGET ALLOCATION The aid granted under this call will be allocated to budget application 23101/48003, Accommodation and Transportation Scholarships for Young University Students, from the budget of the City Council of Alcázar de San Juan. The amount allocated to this call is €24,220.00, with €7,140.00 being allocated to the 2024 budget and €17,080.00 to the 2025 budget.
