Official description of the call
1. CALL AND OBJECTIVE OF THE CONTEST The purpose of this call within the framework of what is established by Law 38/2003 of November 17, General of Subsidies and by the Regulations of the General Law of Subsidies approved by R.D. 8987/2006, July 21, is to define the conditions and procedure to be followed, in a competitive competition regime to select the best Nativity scenes, which will be used to carry out the Nativity Scene Route through Tarazona and Moncayo. For the purposes of justifying the prizes, the provisions of article 30.7 of the General Subsidies Law will be applicable. The rules that govern this call comply with the principles, purposes and objectives established in Line 2 of the Strategic Subsidy Plan of the Tarazona City Council for the years 2024-2027, approved by the Full City Council in a session held on February 9, 2024, among whose priority objectives are: the promotion of all types of activities of public utility or social interest, and specifically in Article 3 point 6) Promotion of cultural manifestations and own traditions of the municipality of Tarazona in all areas. Likewise, the granting of subsidies will be governed by the General Subsidies Ordinance of the Tarazona City Council, approved in a plenary session on February 25, 2014, modified in a plenary session on March 31, 2021, the last modification published in BOP no. 123, of June 2, 2021 regarding the content of the Regulatory Bases, within the framework of what is established by Law 38/2003 of November 17, General Subsidies and by the Regulations of the General Law of Subsidies approved by R.D. 887/2006, of July 21. 2. This call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province. And a resolution and notification period of one calendar month is established, counting from the day following its publication. This call for the Nativity Scene contest “for Tarazona and Moncayo” will be available on the website https://www.tarazona.es 2. PARTICIPANTS The Nativity Scene Contest is aimed at interested entities, groups, associations, individuals, educational centers, parishes, whose works are located in Tarazona and the towns of the Tarazona and Moncayo region. Participating entities/individuals must be up to date with their tax and Social Security obligations and not be prohibited from being beneficiaries of subsidies in accordance with the circumstances provided for in Article 13 of the General Subsidies Law. 3. THE OBJECT OF THE CONTEST The object of the contest is the design and creation of nativity scenes, leaving the style, techniques and elements to be used to the freedom of the participant. The purpose of organizing the Contest is the organization of the XV Nativity Scene Route, with all the participants of the XV Nativity Scene Contest “Por Tarazona y el Moncayo”. 4. REGISTRATION Registration will be carried out using the official registration form (Annex I) and you must attach the authorization to verify that you are up to date with tax and Social Security obligations (Annex II) or provide the certificate of being up to date with the payment of tax and Social Security obligations. 5 PERIOD AND PLACE OF REGISTRATION. Registration in the contest will be carried out from November 15 to 22, 2024, both included, at the Tarazona Municipal Tourism Office, using the registration model made for this purpose and attaching the documentation specified in section 4. It can be done in person at Plaza de San Francisco, 1 or through the email address turismo@tarazona.es, requesting the registration document. 6. DEADLINE AND VALUATION OF NATIVITIES The deadline for the evaluation of the works presented will be from December 11 to 14. The jury will notify by telephone, one day in advance, of their visit to evaluate the work. Participants whose Nativity scene is located in the towns of the Region must send to the email address turismo@tarazona.es, a video with a maximum duration of 4 minutes, showing in detail and with general plans the characteristics of the Nativity scene. The video will have sound, if it is part of the nativity scene representation and the environment where it is located must be shown.
