Official description of the call
First: Purpose and aid granting regime. The Betanzos City Council intends to provide aid to non-profit municipal cultural entities with the aim of collaborating with the maintenance of the activity of cultural associations, promoting activity in the field of culture and facilitating the associative fabric to achieve the general interest objectives that are their own. In this way, the City Council exercises its powers to promote the active participation of citizens, facilitates cultural creation and production at the local level and advances in the realization of the right of access and citizen participation in culture. The purpose of this call is to establish the procedure and criteria for the granting of subsidies in the area of the municipality of Betanzos in the areas of "Organization of cultural activities of general interest", under a competitive competition regime and in accordance with the principles of objectivity, equality of competition and publicity. The City Council will subsidize the projects of the entities of the municipal cultural sector that pursue any of the following specific objectives: · Organize activities to promote and disseminate cultural production through any of its manifestations, artistic or informative. · For ongoing initiatives that involve the participation of citizens in the field of cultural creation or in the knowledge and enjoyment of cultural manifestations. · Develop actions that improve communication between cultural agents, as well as between them and the general public. · Promote and/or preserve our cultural traditions, through disciplines such as music, dance, quantum, collective memory, etc. · Respond to social demands for events and spaces for recreational coexistence and recreation. Eligible projects will be those for the organization of cultural activities in general, including training or dissemination proposals (courses, talks, promotional activities or recovery of historical memory, conservation and dissemination of local traditions); samples, contests, exhibitions; activities to promote literary, plastic, performing, audiovisual or musical arts; the edition of publications, cultural meetings, cultural promotion events and the conservation and safeguarding of material and intangible cultural heritage, and all those that fit the concept of "cultural promotion". Second: Beneficiary persons and entities. Entities that meet the following requirements will be eligible for the programs contained in this call: - Be legally constituted and have updated documentation. - Lack of profit purposes. - Develop their activities within the territorial scope of the Betanzos City Council or on topics of interest to the City Council. - Not having to justify any subsidy granted, in the previous call, by the Betanzos City Council, unless an extension was exceptionally granted or had been withdrawn, or justified by non-presentation, if the process is completed. - Not be subject to any of the circumstances provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, General Subsidies, or cases of incapacity or incompatibility for the receipt of public aid or subsidies. - Be up to date with your tax duties with the Tax Agency, with Social Security and with the City Council, and with your legal duties with the personnel who provide services for the requesting entities. Third: Regulatory Bases. The regulatory bases of this aid will be published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña and on the Notice Board of the electronic headquarters of the Betanzos City Council (https://sede.betanzos.gal/sxc/es) Fourth: Amount, duration and purpose of the aid. 13,000.00 euros will be allocated to subsidies for cultural activities under budget application 334/489.00. The period to carry out eligible activities is from January 1, 2024 to December 5, 2024. Fifth: Form, place and deadline for submitting applications. Applications will be formulated in the model that appears as an annex to this call and will be submitted only by electronic means through the standardized application form of the municipal electronic headquarters.
