MAYOR'S RESOLUTION APPROVAL OF CALL AND BASES OF UNIVERSITY STUDIES FOR THE 2024/2025 SCHOOL YEAR Considering that economic benefits aimed at defraying expenses intended to cover basic family needs constitute one of the fundamental elements of social inclusion, in addition to responding to a subjective right of citizens. You have seen that the Alqueria de la Comtessa City Council intends to collaborate with families in those expenses that are essential for the education of minors and that make it difficult to manage family finances during the school year. Considering the present rules whose purpose is the granting of aid to cover the expenses of university education of the following literal wording: "BASES OF MUNICIPAL AID TO SUPPORT UNIVERSITY STUDIES FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2024/2025. 1.- Purpose of the call: The purpose of this call is to regulate the system of granting subsidies in the form of aid to contribute to the support of expenses linked to the university studies of the students of l'Alqueria de la Comtessa. In this sense, the City Council, within its powers, promotes an aid system charged to its budgets, with the aim of promoting and contributing to higher education. 2.- Requirements of the beneficiaries: - The applicant must be registered and reside in the municipality of L'Alqueria de la Comtessa, at least since January 1, 2024. In the case of If the parents are separated or divorced, it will be sufficient for the minor and/or the father, mother or guardian of the minor applicant to be registered. Verification of this requirement will be carried out ex officio by the City Council without the need to provide any document proving the same. - They are enrolled in university studies in public or private centers due to the impossibility of accessing a public center in the 2024/25 academic year. Indeed, if the beneficiary student's absenteeism is proven during the school year, the City Council will initiate a file for reimbursement of the aid. - Those who prove that they have passed the following credits: First year Enrollment of 60 credits or more Second, third and fourth years Having passed at least 70% of the credits of the previous year And having enrolled for at least 40 credits in the following year. regarding academic performance. - Provide: proof of payment of tuition or university fees, proof of payment of transportation, proof of payment of materials or proof of payment of rent (also provide the corresponding contract). the total amount of 3,700.00 euros provided in the budget item for this purpose.
