Agreement of the Executive Council in an ordinary session of May 19, 2025, regarding the bases that govern the granting of aid for the promotion of the native breed of Menorca and the call corresponding to 2025

Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries 1. Livestock farmers' associations that are constituted as legal entities and that meet the following requirements can benefit from the aid: a) That they are non-profit. b) That they comply with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/1012, of the European Parliament and of the Council, June 8, 2016, relating to the zootechnical and genealogical conditions for the breeding, trade and entry into the Union of purebred breeding animals, hybrid breeding pigs and their reproductive material, and by which Regulation (EU) No. 652/2014 and Council Directives 89/608/EEC and 90/425/EEC, and certain acts in the field of animal husbandry are repealed. c) That they are officially recognized for the management of the native breed book by the competent authority, according to the requirements established in article 4 and part I of annex I of Regulation (EU) 2016/1012. d) That they comply with the provisions of Royal Decree 45/2019, of February 8, in relation to the zootechnical standards applicable to pure-breed breeding animals, hybrid breeding pigs and their reproductive material, which updates the National Program for the conservation, improvement and promotion of livestock breeds, and modifies royal decrees 558/2001, of May 25; 1316/1992, of October 30; 1438/1992, of November 27, and 1625/2011, of November 14. e) That they meet the requirements demanded by article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies, and articles 9 and 10 of Legislative Decree 2/2005, of December 28, by which the consolidated Text of the Subsidies Law is approved. f) That have the status of SME, in accordance with article 2.52 and Annex I of Regulation (EC) no. 2022/2472 of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. g) That it is not a company in crisis, in accordance with article 2.59 of Regulation (EC) no. 2022/2472 of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. h) That they have not been subject to a pending recovery order after a previous decision of the Commission that has declared aid illegal and incompatible with the internal market. 2. The livestock farms integrated into the association, in which the eligible activities are carried out, must meet the following requirements: a) The requirements demanded by articles 13.2, 13.3, 13.3 bis of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general on subsidies. b) That they are owners of active livestock farms and that the farms have the status of SME, in accordance with article 2.52 and Annex I of Regulation (EC) No. 2022/2472 of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. c) That the farm is registered in the General Registry of Livestock Farms (REGA). d) Not be considered a company in crisis, in accordance with article 2.59 of Regulation (EU) number 2022/2472, of the Commission, of December 14, 2022. e) That the operation is not subject to a pending recovery order after a previous decision of the Commission that has declared aid illegal and incompatible with the internal market. Second. Purpose The purpose of the call is to support the activities carried out by the associations of breeders of native breeds of Menorca, with the aim of offsetting the cost of expenses related to the management of stud books and genetic improvement, to obtain quality primary products and for the expenses derived from the tasks carried out by the associations to promote these products. Third. Regulatory bases This call is governed by the bases approved by the Executive Council of the Island Council of Menorca in an ordinary session on 05/19/2025. Room. Amount The maximum global amount of the call is €30,000 (thirty thousand euros). Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications The deadline for submitting applications is one month from the day following the publication of the call to the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB). Sixth. Other data. The maximum individual amount of aid per native breed association will be €15,000. The expenses incurred from the day of submission of the application until December 31 of the year of the call are subject to subsidy.
