EDICT It is made public that, on June 6, 2025, the Mayor's Office-Presidency has issued Resolution number 2025-1975, in which the call for the 58th VILLA DE SANT JOAN D'ALACANT PAINTING CONTEST is approved, “FIRST PRIZE VILLA DE SANT JOAN”, “IV PRIZE YOUNG VILLA DE SANT JOAN” AND “SENDEROS DEL ARTE DE SANT JOAN D’ALACANT AWARD”, in accordance with the following Rules: 58th VILLA DE SANT JOAN D’ALACANT PAINTING CONTEST”, “FIRST PRIZE VILLA DE SANT JOAN”, “IV YOUNG VILLA DE SANT JOAN AWARD” AND “SENDEROS DEL ARTE DE SANT JOAN AWARD” D’ALACANT” FIRST. -OBJECT. The object of these rules is the regulation of the “58TH EDITION OF THE VILLA DE SANT JOAN D'ALACANT PAINTING CONTEST”, “FIRST PRIZE VILLA DE SANT JOAN”, “IV YOUNG PRIZE VILLA DE SANT JOAN” AND “SENDEROS DEL ARTE DE SANT JOAN D’ALACANT AWARD” convened by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Sant Joan d'Alacant with the aim of promoting this section of art, promoting new and young talents with the Young Award, and also with the Senderos del Arte award the aim is to learn about the heritage of our environment. SECOND. -STAKE. The contest is open to any person of legal age with Spanish nationality or legal residence in Spain. For the “YOVEN VILLA DE SANT JOAN AWARD”, it is a specific participation requirement to be between 18 and 30 years old, inclusive. For the “PATHS OF ART AWARD”, the theme must revolve around landscape and water as cultural elements that mark the history of the territory of sister municipalities such as Ibi, Tibi, Xixona, Alicante, San Vicente del Raspeig, Mutxamel, El Campello, Sant Joan d'Alacant and the Monnegre river that has made it possible; which also constitutes a beautiful and unique heritage that we must preserve. Those who are involved in any of the causes of prohibition to obtain the status of beneficiaries established in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies -LGS- THIRD, will not be able to participate. - CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WORKS OR CREATIONS THAT CAN BE PRESENTED. Each participant may present a maximum of 2 works. They must be originals; copies of awarded or selected works in other competitions are not admitted. Free theme and technique. The works will be free of any sexist or discriminatory element. Format: may not be larger than 2x2m nor smaller than 100x81cm. Works composed of different parts (such as diptychs, triptychs...), for the purposes of maximum dimensions, the set of all its parts will be counted. They must be presented unframed or framed with a simple wooden strip. Works protected with glass will not be admitted. Participants, if they consider it appropriate, will give the necessary instructions for assembly and exhibition of their work; if they do not do so, no claims will be accepted. QUARTER. -REGISTRATION AND PRESENTATION FORM. The registration forms will be sent to the Mayor-President of the Sant Joan d'Alacant City Council, according to the model that appears as an annex to this document. In said application, the will to participate in the contest will be expressed, and will declare under its responsibility, that it is not subject to any of the prohibition circumstances to obtain the status of beneficiary of aid or subsidy, provided for in article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General of Subsidies, and that it is up to date in compliance with its tax obligations with this City Council. Expenses Each participant will be responsible for the transportation and insurance costs incurred both for the presentation and for the removal of the works. Method and place of delivery of the work: The work will be delivered unsigned, labeled on the back. The label will only state: The title of the work and the legend: “FIRST PRIZE VILLA DE SANT JOAN”, “IV PRIZE YOUNG VILLA DE SANT JOAN” AND “PATHS OF THE ART OF SANT JOAN D’ALACANT AWARD” Two sealed envelopes with the Title of the work on the outside will be delivered with the work. One of the envelopes will be attached to the back of the work. The other envelope will be given to the staff who receives the work. The envelopes will contain the following documentation: Personal information of the author of the work, with a photocopy of the document that proves the identity of the applicant (DNI, NIE, Passport, etc.), contact information (telephone, address and email and brief artistic resume).
