Private companies that are administrative owners of slate manufacturing plants and granite and/or sandstone processing facilities authorized in accordance with Law 22/1973, of July 21, on Mines, may be beneficiaries of these subsidies, either as part of the use of an exploitation authorization (Title III) or an exploitation concession (Title V), or as a Beneficiary Establishment (Title XII), and located in the territory of the Community of Castilla y León. Second.– Object. The purpose of this order is to call for public subsidies aimed at improving working and environmental conditions with respect to dust and respirable crystalline silica in slate manufacturing plants and granite and/or sandstone processing facilities and their annexes, located in Castilla y León. Investments aimed at the following actions will be eligible for subsidies: Line 1: Investments in equipment or facilities of low technical complexity for cleaning, so that waste is managed so as not to affect the environment. It consists of industrial vacuum cleaners and a water network for cleaning. Line 2: Investments in improvements that involve a certain complexity, design and, especially whose results are susceptible to being verified, which will be indicated in the technical-economic project. It consists of extractions, filtrations and other dust-related improvements for the protection of the atmospheric environment. Line 3: Investments in improvements that involve a certain complexity, design and, especially whose results are susceptible to being verified, which will be indicated in the technical-economic project. It consists of localized collection and extraction systems, cabins and other improvements to the working conditions of workers in slate production plants related to respirable crystalline silica. Third.– Regulatory bases. Order EYH/522/2025, of May 21, which approves the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies aimed at improving working and environmental conditions with respect to dust and respirable crystalline silica in slate production warehouses and granite and/or sandstone processing facilities, and their annexes, located in Castilla y León. Fourth.– Amount. The amount destined to finance the subsidies called amounts to 550,000 euros. Fifth. – Deadline for submitting applications. The deadline for submitting applications will be one month, counting from the publication of this extract of the call in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León.
