Official description of the call

First. Beneficiaries: Students of the degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology who, on the closing date of the application submission period, meet the requirements of point 6.1 can participate. Students of any university master's degree in the areas of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering of the University of Valencia, who meet the requirements of point 6.2 on the closing date of the application submission period, can participate. Second. Purpose: The purpose of this call is to promote interest in research work in the area of ​​sustainability and the circular economy in the plastics sector among students of the University of Valencia, who during the 2025-2026 academic year complete their degree studies or who are studying an official university master's degree in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering or biotechnology, through the allocation of financial aid that allows them to begin research tasks linked to this area of ​​knowledge. Third. Regulatory bases: https://ir.uv.es/TC1kwgM Fourth. Amount: 3.1. Three research initiation grants are being called on a competitive basis for the 2025-2026 academic year, in the AIMPLAS-UV Chair, for students in the last year of the Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology degrees, or any official master's degree related to the areas of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. 3.2. The amount of each aid will be 1,200 euros and will be paid out of the expense budget of the AIMPLAS-UV Chair. 3.3. The total and sole amount of aid for the beneficiary is 1,200 euros, which in no case is considered a salary or remuneration, but rather financial aid for training. The granting of this aid does not entail exemption from payment by the beneficiary of public prices for academic services. 3.4. The aid must be enjoyed during the 2025-2026 academic year, in a period that in no case may be less than 4 months, with a dedication of 270 hours of training. 3.5. The corresponding personal income tax withholding will be applied to the amount granted based on current regulations. Fifth. Deadline for submitting applications: The deadline for submitting the application is from the day after the publication of the extract of this resolution in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) until October 15, 2025.
